Service was good. Bread was home made and yummy. Salad with house Italian was great. Clams and linguine was very good.
We Always take home a few pieces of tiramisu and a loaf of bread which stsys fresh for days! Love this restaurant (have eaten here 3 times in two weeks)
Earlier today, I called to place an order for two Family Homemade Lasagna Platters at $69.99 each. The person who took my order—who I later found out was a manager—confirmed the $69.99 price for one platter during the call.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I gave my name and was told my total was around $30. I immediately questioned this and explained the conversation I had when placing the order. That’s when I learned that instead of two family-size platters, the order had been entered as two single-serve lasagna dinners.
I have a family of six to feed. Waiting another two hours for the correct order was not an option, nor was coming back later, as I live in Pennsylvania and was only in Ravenna visiting my brother. The only resolution offered was a small discount on the two single-serve dinners.
I ended up giving those dinners to my brother and going elsewhere to spend the $140 I had planned to spend with Guido’s—so I could bring home enough food to feed my family.
I appreciate the small discount, but I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. As someone who regularly orders from your company every Saturday when I visit, this experience has unfortunately cost you a loyal customer.
I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously so that similar situations can be avoided in the future.
Their pizza is easily some of the best in the area—the crust is always perfect and they don’t skimp on the toppings. But if you want the real “local secret,” you have to get the fried chicken and Jojo’s. I don’t know what they put in that breading, but it’s addictive. Also, do yourself a favor and try the Tortellini Salad or the Big Joey sub if you’re stopping in for lunch.
We actually used them for catering recently for a family get-together, and people are still talking about the lasagna and the sheet pizzas. They made the whole process super easy, the prices were fair, and there was plenty of food to go around (and then some).
It’s one of those rare places that’s been around since the 60s but still feels like they actually care about the quality. Friendly staff, consistently great food, and just a staple of downtown Ravenna. 10/10 would recommend every time.
