A wide menu of familiar Thai dishes is a casual, comfortable setting.

I haven’t been here for a long time. The waitress was nice, but the food was just okay. One of our dishes was glass noodles with shrimp and vegetables — it was served on a small round plate, which didn’t look very nice, and the vegetables were almost falling off the edge. The pork in the glass noodle dish was kind of chewy and didn’t taste like it was cooked by a professional chef. The Pad See Ew was also a bit too sweet for my taste.

Fried rice and Pad Thai were great, but look at those $13 chicken wings. As an appetizer, I would not recommend the wings — they were dry, and for the price and size, they just weren’t worth it. The wings felt like they should’ve been $5 at most.

Visited Bai Tong in Issaquah Highlands with a large group, and the experience overall was excellent. There’s plenty of parking available, which was appreciated given how packed some restaurants get. That said, the road setup in the Highlands can be a bit confusing with all the one-way streets. The interior of the restaurant was stunning. It was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, even down to the bathrooms. It’s clear that attention was paid to every visual detail. The space is also efficiently arranged for both small and large parties. One small downside was the AC, which made it colder than expected indoors. I did notice the “okay” food safety rating, which raised a slight concern, but it didn’t match the quality of the meal. The crab fried rice was absolutely delicious. It is one of the best I’ve had. This spot is worth revisiting just for that dish.

I was a little hesitant after checking recent reviews, but I found both the food and service to be very good when we went midweek for dinner. Very attentive and the three dishes we tried we wonderful, especially the Tom Kha. And we had multiple people check on us during and after the dinner, so I think they are really trying to work on what seems to be recent blips of poor service. We will definitely be back. TY!

1/28/26. 5pm arrival to an empty restaurant & they seated the two of us at the bar. Really? The bartender/waiter smelled like weed and moved at a snails pace, ignoring us for 10 min. He didn’t want to be there and he made sure we knew that he was unhappy being there. Never checked on us. Dropped the bill on the table without a word. What a punk, def wont be back. Food was mid at best, small portions for the price. Shitty service. No wonder the place was empty.

Food great!
Service?…I guess we were served?…NOT family friendly with children under 9. We said table for 4 with a high chair and the “host” saw our two kids were obviously younger than the adult menu. We were then seated…WITH NO MENUS. Waited for the server to come back with them. Then our waiter came up annoyed we hadn’t figured out what we wanted to eat and then apologized once he realized we hadn’t been given any menus yet. He gave us two adult menus and we figured they would have the kids menu on them since those were the only menus we recieved…apparently we thought wrong.
At the end of our meal my oldest found the menus for kids behind him at their host desk and we realized we didnt have to order a huge entre for our kids to share.
We were seated by the door and they had the door propped open while its cold and pouring rain outside.
The waiter we had was impatient but quick once we did order.
The “hostess” needs classes in customer service as she blamed US for no menus on the table and expected US to ask for them when other tables we saw were seated WITH menus…she also wanted to argue with me when I tried to tell her the problem we had and next time could they make sure their servers checked on getting menus for everyone seated. She continued to argue and didnt care at all. We had been going here for years and won’t be due to how rude she was and her lack of customer service.
Used to love this place. Eaten here plenty of times with my sibling and grandparent. Looks like this place is really starting to go downhill considering their health department rating has also dropped significantly with their service quality.

Food was just ok, a little too oily. We had called to book but they said they have plenty of tables so walk in. We walked in and the two of us ordered three things. We were hoping to have a good conversation and quiet time. The manager seemed to be in a hurry for us to wrap up the meal quickly and make the table available. I had the fork in my hand and she came twice to ask if she can get boxes. The waiter came and we paid. We were again conversing for additional two minutes after paying, she interrupted again to ask if we had paid. Downright rude. Never coming back here.

Great taste and quick service. Keeps up with standards of Bai Tong. Good vegetarian options. Staff were accommodating with dietary restrictions and also shared portion size info so that we could order as needed. Reservations recommended for weekends. Decent parking outside.

This was only place that has short wait for Saturday night. Not in the picture, pad Thai was sweet and flavor was off. I cannot point out what is off about the sauce. Penang chicken look like red curry, not red curry, different ingredients in red curry. Steak entree, visual looked good, needs more flavors, it needed spicy Thai sauce. The meat was cook medium well, we used butter knife trying to cut meat into smaller piece. The meat did not cut like a butter. We also ordered Tom yum, it was on the sweet side, should be more sour. The satay and fish cake were good. Those are the only two dishes that we enjoyed. The service was okay. I ate here before and the foods were better.

Bai Tong used to be a place we genuinely enjoyed, but our recent visit after a long gap was a clear disappointment.
The staff appeared rushed and, at times, outright rude. We were pressured to place our order quickly, and when the food arrived, everything was dropped at the corner of the table instead of being served properly to each person. The Pad Thai was especially problematic—the glass noodles were so dry and overcooked that I had to stop eating halfway through. Despite the obvious issues, no one checked on us during the meal. We didn’t create a scene or complain at the time, but the service and food quality both felt careless and rushed. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last visit to the Issaquah location.
