I’ve not eaten at Popeye’s in many years. In the 70s, 80s, and early 90s I loved the place. Great food and decent prices. The name Louisiana Kitchen was appripo! I went today and I will never go again. The only good thing today was the young man who waited on me. He was very pleasant to deal with. The food was nothing to compare to my memories! The Butterfly Shrimp was tiny and rubbery with more batter than schrimp. All night long I had diarrhea. I would never recommend this place even to an enemy.

A coworker brought in a huge pot of red beans and rice, so what pairs better – Popeyes Chicken! At 11:30, I decided to run over and grab chicken and biscuits; I thought the line would be long, but I walked right in and placed my order.
The young lady who took my order was pleasant and above all, patient as I tried to decide what I wanted. The restaurant was clean, and most of all, my order was hot and fresh.

Made to wait on my order which isn’t a problem if it’s done right but I got no sauce, napkins or spoon and the beans are missing a serious portion of “large” size. All I did was stir it in this pic. I don’t normally go around leaving bad reviews but this is the 3rd time I’ve had a disappointing experience at this location.

Its back! The awesome chicken sandwich. I ordered mine with cajun fries and red beans and rice and took it home and added a little Tabasco sauce to it. The brioche bun is nice and sweet and chicken breast fillet is very needy but has a little excess of batter and fat which I pulled off and set to the side and you can see that in the photos. I recommend trying the sandwich because it is delicious.
