Anthony’s Pizza has been on my to-go list for a long time, so I was excited to finally try it after Christmas shopping—but unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing.
We ordered small meatballs (2 pieces), an Italian sausage & peppers sandwich, and a square Margherita pizza with Italian sausage and long hot finger peppers. Overall, the pricing felt extremely overpriced for the quality of food.
The two meatballs were over $9 and arrived cold. They honestly felt like leftovers from a party rather than something freshly prepared. Our main dish—the Margherita pizza with sausage and peppers—was also a letdown. The crust was burned, giving it a bitter taste, while the center of the dough was undercooked. I personally prefer thin-crust pizza, but in this case, all the flavor was dominated by the dough instead of the Margherita sauce and toppings. Spending over $30 on that pizza felt like a complete waste.
The sausage sandwich was relatively cheaper at around $15, but it seemed to use the same dough, resulting in the same thick, undercooked texture. On top of that, the service was slow even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded, and the silverware and dishes were visibly dirty with stains, which was disappointing.
It was a place I really wanted to like, but overall, this was not a good experience for me and I don’t see myself coming back.

I was out on business and staying in the Woodbridge area for work the next day in Bayside, New York. I got a haircut by Franklin at Master Clips in Edison, New Jersey and needed a good and quick meal for dinner. I have been to this location many times, especially when I used to work at the nearby Valvoline Instant Oil Change. I have always had a great dining experience at this location. Michelle was my host and server and she immediately greeted and seated me. For my entree, I ordered Anthony’s Fired Original Wings and a Caesar Salad. For my beverage, I had water, no ice, and four lemons. The wings were cooked to perfection- seasoned but not salty. The Caesar Salad was delicious and very fresh. Michelle S., was attentive, very pleasant, friendly, courteous, professional, and happy to help. She made for an awesome and enjoyable dining experience.

Pizza was fantastic. Fresh mozzarella was not fresh mozzarella , not like fresh mozzarella from an Italian deli where it is soft and creamy and warm. It’s one of those packages from the supermarket. Didn’t care for the meatball. It’s more bread than meat. Over all I would go back for the pizza . Pizza was perfect. Nice young kid making it. The rest is not what we’re use to. Garlic knots are alright. Wings were alright. Not my favorite in this place. I would highly recommend recommending the pizza with pepperoni. As for the service she was new and it was obvious. Asked for a knife she took it off my husbands plate. That was weird. Ask for salt and pepper. She couldn’t find a shaker any where. She served it in a plastic mini cup. Also weird. Asked for Italian prosciutto on the tomatoes and mozzarella they forgot it and served it separately. Also weird. Wouldn’t be a bad place to, need to work out some kinks.

Since we tried this place, it has become a regular. Their pizzas and wings are amazing! Honestly, the food is great whatever you try. Never disappoints!
On top of the food being great and fresh, our waitress always makes it even better. Adrianna is attentive, extremely nice and incredibly friendly. It’s easy to tell she likes her job and she is great at it. No need for asking, she knows what you need and always have a smile to light up your meal.

Absolutely recommended place.

I’ve been here before, and enjoyed the food. But, this time I ordered takeout and was thoroughly disappointed. For the price, the portions didn’t add up. My daughter had spaghetti and I had a chicken Caesar salad. These portions were tiny! Barely a plate full of spaghetti and less than a cutlet size of grill chicken for the salad. Thumbs down for this experience.

This was my first time at Anthony’s coal fried pizza and it did not disappoint. The place feels like a good upscale kind of dining experience with good service and plenty of seating available. They have a few beers on tap and have a wide selection of cocktails too. The pizza and garlic knots were delicious. Try the square margherita one if you like that kind of pizza and you will not be disappointed. They also have some good desserts, we liked the chocolate cake.

Food: I’ve tried their garlic knots, Medium and Large pizza with mushrooms and spinach, and cheese cake. Their garlic knots are great especially for sharing, their pizza always hits and never misses, and their cheese cake is the perfect amount of sweetness.

Service: Obviously making pizza takes time, but ordering the medium doesn’t take too long, and the same is true with the large.

Atmosphere: I took off one star for potential glare depending on where you sit, but I like everything else inside the restaurant.

Wonderful service! Since it was my first time visiting, I was provided with a free sampler.

The wings are great! I highly recommend them, although they are a bit pricey.

Pizza is delicious. The smallest size pie was enough to split between two people. They even took it a step further and made a buffalo chicken pizza for us that wasn’t on the menu.

Highly recommend a visit.

Delicious food. We just didn’t like that we felt rushed to get out. I was still working on my drink and the waitress was bringing us the check. The place wasn’t even crowded at that time.
