We were wandering about looking for somewhere to eat, and were very lucky to find this place and be able to get a table for 4 people – I’d definitely recommend reservations in future. The food was beautifully cooked, huge portions and a lovely complimentary lentil salad to start. The service was exceptional – discreetly attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxed for a clearly high-end restaurant. The only downside is that we didn’t have any room for dessert! We’ll have a return another time!

The front of house staff were really nice and helpful. I ordered the steak with in house frites. Sorry they were frozen not fresh, looks, texture and taste all pointed to this. The Steak was average but acceptable for the price. Would I eat here again, NO. Better average food elsewhere. As a restaurant founded in 1949, even z celeb chef Gordon the gofer ramsey could not sort out this amateurish kitchen.

Beautiful restaurant. We got there soon after they opened on a Thursday evening and had no problem getting a seat for two. I would suggest reservations if you plan to eat later. I had the lasagna, my wife got the lamb shanks. Both dishes were exceptional.
