Might try out the beyond or impossible burger next time I visit.
Nacho fries, Brussels sprouts & gluten free buns oh my. We are at the bar and the bar tender was super attentive and friendly!
I got the Guadalupe (V) and my wife ordered the Sweet Dreams (V) along with French Fries to share. The burgers we very tasty and had a great combination of patty, toppings and bun.
The service was excellent. They were happy to take order and answer questions. We would definitely visit again.
My friends burger was TWENTY TWO DOLLARS through the build your burger. I mean wow. All three of us collectively spent 91 dollars plus tip and were still hungry. We did all get an alcoholic beverage, but the rest was food charges. Over 100 dollars spent. And we left hungry. Unacceptable.
Decor was nice though.
I ordered a rare Paul Bunyan Burger with a side of “uptown” waffle fries, while my husband ordered a medium well American burger with a side of “west side” onion rings. We have genuinely no complaints about the food. Cooked to perfection, made exactly to order, and came out in a timely fashion. The waitstaff was friendly, but not overly so, and we came in and out in a timely fashion.
We plan to go back on another weekday for their amazing happy hour deals (I’m particularly looking forward to the margaritas).
We also had chicken bits that we liked a lot.
We will be back
The guy at the bar that handed us the food was SO RUDE. Even my non-vegan friend sensed it. We had already paid for the food online on GrubHub, all he had to do was give the food. He shoved the bag into my hand! This person and the cook needs to be fired ASAP due to all the above and below.
Even worse, I specified NO CHEESE on the vegan hot dog and there was cheese. I paid EXTRA for guac and this is what I got. NOTHING like the photos on GrubHub. For $2 there’s not even 1/4 of an avocado on this burger! It’s like it was just thrown together! For over $10 for a hot dog I would think I would get the condiments that come with it. I might as well have bought a pack of 4 beyond sausages for LESS at the store and thrown it in the microwave.
Then the burger I only wanted cheese on it if it was vegan. I believe it was dairy cheese. I also paid extra for the beyond patty. And the burger was SO SLOPPY. I literally had ketchup all over my hands and the whole thing fell apart like slop!
Then, the French fries were ALL LIMP and cold. It’s like they gave me the fries that had been sitting out. And it did not take me long to reach the store.
Am from NYC and a huge foodie and food blogger. I wanted to like this place so much and looks like some people got a better version of what I did from the photos. It’s unfortunate I didn’t have that experience. My intention is to let the owner be aware of these people. Hopefully they’re fired because now my non-vegan friend won’t want to eat there and I’m sure they’ve lost many potential customers as a result of this. I am very loyal, fair, and a huge tipper as a result of 8+ years in the hospitality industry. I can’t remember ever paying $35+ for a hotdog, burger, and French fries before and this is the “quality” I received. I had to eat in the car as I had somewhere to be so could not come back to return the food. What a waste.
I am willing to give this restaurant more stars if they show me they care about their guests and their hard earned money by making this right. I have attached photos so you can see I’m not making this up. If no effort is shown I will make sure to alert any vegan and food bloggers to cross this place off the “to-go” list.
I am now sitting here with a HUGE flare up as it’s been 11 years without animal products. My throat is swollen as well. This kind of stuff puts people into the hospital! Would think they would respect cross contamination more. On my way to the toilet yet again now…
