Cool little hole in the wall joint with great atmosphere and ocean breezes. Our server was very friendly and quick. We enjoyed sitting at a little table outside on the sidewalk. I ordered an omelet with feta cheese and extra hot peppers, and was delighted to get an omelet just busting open with hot peppers! Very tasty. I did not care for the home fries, but they were more than generous with the portions, and I was full when we left.

I had an outing here with a group of Wounded Warriors and it was such a pleasant experience. The cafe has a warm, cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. I ordered a small breakfast plate, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The portions were just right—enough to feel satisfied without being too heavy. Service was friendly and attentive, and my water cup never went empty. A perfect little spot to start the morning.

#73 Does it get any better when you go out for breakfast, find a place, no wait, excellent service, and outstanding food? I don’t think so. I know the All American breakfast is somewhat typical of any breakfast place, but the pièce de résistance (couldn’t have been a better opportunity to use that phrase) was the waffle with sautéed peaches, pecans, and a condensed milk glaze. Holy crap! If I had only one word to describe it, it would be decadent. Definitely a must stop if you’re out and about looking for breakfast. Now to come back for some lunch and update my review!

Sunnyside Cafe is an absolute gem! The tuna melt was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our server, Alex, did a great job and was incredibly attentive from start to finish. The entire restaurant is clean, organized, and clearly well-managed. You can feel the positive energy from the moment you walk in, and it’s no surprise they have so many great reviews.
Best of all, it’s just steps from the ocean, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommended!

September 2025 update… Appears new management has taken over. Food is still GREAT. Service… Has gone down hill with only a face or two recognized from previous visits. Where the entire waitress/waiter crew chipped in on all the tables which used to result in quick service… Not so much cooperative spirit seen in our last visit. We are very sorry to have found the service lacking but place this change directly upon the management thinking their changes would be more efficient. Maybe efficient for running the place, but not seen efficient at the tables being served.
Just a common run of the mill place now this writer feels.
Update!!!! Still the place for breakfast in Melbourne Beach. All the below is still a fact with more outdoor dining available. Enjoyed another great breakfast both served fast and hot at a great price Added 3 more food shots
Very happy to find a great place for a big breakfast or lunch with outdoor dining place right near the Melbourne Beach beach! Waitresses and cook were wonder in preparing the food to order and in quick to serve piping hot and steaming. All at good prices. oh yes… the staff wore masks.

We stoped for a brunch after a morning beach walk. The location is perfect, steps from the beach.
We had an avocado Benedict with house fries, it was perfect!! The hollandaise sauce is so good that you will want to order a jar of it .
We also had an American breakfast and chocolate chip pancake . All very tasty!!
And of course endless black coffee, they bring you coffee every 10 min. The service is great too.
We were at the inside tables, but they have outdoor spots where people bring their pets.

My first time there, but I’ve heard and read great reviews. I ordered online as it was going to take me 10 to 15 minutes to drive there. I had ordered the all-American breakfast and my wife, the half order of biscuits and gravy. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted immediately and very friendly. My order was being boxed up as I walked in, and I was out again in less than two minutes.The food was great, service excellent and the price good. I will most definitely go back again and recommend Sunnyside Cafe to everyone!
