Very clean, and peaceful atmosphere. Greeted as we entered. Instead of asking if we wanted water we were instantly brought ice water with a lemon slice in it and tea! The food was seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing! Potions were huge and prices very reasonable!! The customer service is above and beyond here!! We will be going back very soon!!

Out of all the Chinese restaurants offered in Salem, Oregon, Yan Yan Chinese Cuisine has been our family favorite. With consistent, delicious, and beautiful portions for all of our pickup orders, we continue to happily return.
We have ordered online for pickup through SmoreSmash in the past, but plan to order by phone in the future, to ensure Yan Yan Chinese Cuisine does not have to split the profits.
Their General Tso’s Chicken is sublime! We always order huge, as Yan Yan Chinese Cuisine is a treat for our family. So doubling up on the BBQ Pork and Pot Stickers is a must! Always choosing Pork Fried Rice over white rice. Szechuan Beef, Chicken Subgum Chow Mein, and House Special Chow Fun, our Christmas 2025 meal plan was completely perfect!
Obviously, we will be back again and again and again!

We stopped on our way home and found this gem. Their food was delicious and their service was pretty quick. We ordered Singapore noodles and Pad Thai noodles with a special request. We loved it and hope to be back soon.

Clean and quick service. Generous portions. Pepper shrimp was fair. Small shrimp, seasoned well. Chicken lo mein was a bit saucy but still enjoyable. The spring rolls were very good.

I used to go to this restaurant until I bit into a bandaid. They treated me like I was lying and trying to get free food but I just wanted them to take accountability. I don’t want food from them every again. Their owner’s response was “no one was hurt.” Thankfully all tests came back negative, but I have to get tested again in 6 months to be sure. I will never eat here again. My whole family and extended family will not eat here again either. I’ve given this business months to take accountability and I’m done waiting. I have turned them into the health department. I’ve since been told gross stories from some friends which have had bad experiences here too.

I cannot express how much I love eating here !! The portions are hugeee!! Get ready to take a box home. For dinner today I got Mongolian chicken sweet and sour chicken (sauce on the side) with marfar sauce and pork fried rice. It came with complimentary soup I got hot and sour and it was amazing as always. Our waitress was very cute and I love the atmosphere very clean. We always return!! The picture is the food I took home! Couldn’t believe it was a whole other meal way to go yanyan !!
