The food was good, and the service was great. I went shortly after they opened up. The food prices were affordable. I ordered to go so I didn’t stay for full experience. I did feel valued as a customer during my visit.

The Red Chimney Restaurant had been on my “to-do” list for quite a while. My visit was not a disappointment.
The restaurant was very “old world” with murals of mountainous landscapes inside. The seating included counter seats, small booths, and larger booths for bigger parties.
The menu included dishes like city chicken, pierogis, cabbage rolls, and kielbasa and sauer kraut.
The Red Chimney is also very well known for their breakfasts, which is served all day as well as their chicken noodle soup, which may have been the best I have ever had!
The owner, Pete, was very friendly and welcomed us personally to the restaurant. He took the time to talk about the building’s history, the history of the restaurant, and the foods they make and serve.
The liver and onions, and the veal cutlet were delicious. The sampler platter included a pierogi smothered in onions, a cabbage roll, a skewer of tender city chicken smothered in gravy, and a grilled link of kielbasa on a bed of savory sauer kraut.
They also had good selection of pies and cakes.
It is just a short distance down Fleet Avenue from I-77, and well worth the short detour to enjoy the old world atmosphere of the Red Chimney Restaurant.

I have been coming to the red chimney for occasional lunch breaks every few weeks or so since 2018 when I started working in the area. Their food is amazing and reminds me of home, they are a tight woven crew and you can tell the atmosphere is welcoming and just like home from the moment you walk in. My favorite order is the breakfast wrap, but all of their omelettes are delicious too. I highly recommend this family-owned, local diner!

This is my go to spot for breakfast lunch and dinner. Always friendly service, the servers go above and beyond. Great prices and large servings. I love the large mirrors and space provided. Large booths for big groups.

This place popped up on our google maps. Now the neighborhood is a little sketchy but once you go inside the place is so cozy. Great comfort food and great price. Definitely will recommend people visit this place.

Came here this morning for a quick breakfast. The portions are huge, and the food was pretty good. We spend around $38 for breakfast for three adults. The building could use an upgrade, but it wasn’t ran down or anything. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for good food at a decent price.

Red Chimney is the staple restaurant in Slavic Village. It’s got to be one of the only places to get a quality meal and service in this area. Kinda sad that we don’t have many choices, but this one is solid. Classic Diner atmosphere and the classic food. Nothing too fancy, it’s just right. The choices might not be the healthiest but it’s a great spot to get an inexpensive bite to eat.

The food here is nothing to write home about there was absolutely no seasoning on our potatoes, or my corned beef hash. My friend said her pancakes were chewy and lumpy grits. I was skeptical when I walked in but it came recommended by a Cleveland native but I’m sure what their breakfast meals are like but this was not to my standards at all and I will not be eating here or again nor can I recommend eating here.

Good home cooked food. Ordered the chicken noodle soup it was a beautiful dark yellow color with thin noodles plenty of tender chicken and the nice thing was it was not over salted and had a great flavor. The chicken with dumplings was excellent. Nice salad and the rolls were served warm. Also the use of room temperature butter made spreading it very easy. Service was very good. Prices are very reasonable.

The building is dated, and could use some maintenance. The food presented on the plate looked good, but was bland. I had the sampler plate, my wife had the pork tenderloin. Her tenderloin was dry. The cabbage roll was good. As was the beef vegetable and chicken noodle soup. The server was nice. Portions were filling.
