Their parking lot was not shoveled, I wanted to pull off because of that. But I went in anyway for a grilled chicken salad. Ordering was easy, the cashier was cool. The salad was good just way too much cheese! The salad is like 2 servings, the ranch is 1 serving. The pita bread is good.

Placed order over the phone for Cornbeef Sandwich On Rye no mustard & side of sauerkraut because I don’t like my bread soggy. Arrived at coney and they mistakenly put it on onion roll, they remade sandwich but put mustard on it, so they had to remake sandwich again. Cook was clearly upset and yelled at waitress don’t know if she was new or not but it was a honest mistake. Regardless Got home to eat my sandwich after it was finally made correct got home and opened sandwich and the pickle made the bread all soggy, and there was so much butter on the bread I used 6 paper towels and a brown bag to try and soak up some of the butter grease. I don’t know if the cook took his angry out on my sandwich or what but it wasn’t worth the money I paid for it. Truly sad because I have gotten this sandwich ordered like this before and never had this many issues. Ended up giving it to the dog because even after soaking up some of the butter the sandwich was still so greasy and soggy..

Every time I’m in the city I gotta hit Papas. They never miss! The lightskin girl with the braids had really good customer service and phone etiquette which is not normal for Coney Islands so big shout out to her!!!

Let’s start with the cleanliness of the restaurant-IT IS DIRTY on the inside. Tables not wiped down, floor hasn’t been cleaned in forever. I was on the Eastside and needed to grab something quick to eat and someone recommended this spot-NEVER AGAIN.I ordered two chicken and egg breakfast specials it came up to over $30. The chicken was dry, the eggs were green and rubbery and the hash browns were days old. Save yourself time and money and don’t stop at this nasty spot.

Every time I’m in detroit, I have to get Coney Island. My sister suggested this place. I got a hamburger combo, hotdog combo, and chilly dog combo. I got Kool-Aid to drink. The food was hot and good. The Kool-Aid was super sweet. Like instant diabetes sweet. The cashier was really cool. The restaurant was clean inside and out. I did get the food fast. I do wish they had a drive thru. The location is perfect, and it’s not hidden.
