I recently tried a Nepali food and was impressed by both the flavor and hospitality. Friendly service and generous portions made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

We came here with high expectations but had a very disappointing experience. The biriyani had poor taste and quality. When we asked for onions and lemon, the staff said it would cost an extra $3 , something that is usually a basic accompaniment. The service was also not respectful and there was no proper response when we asked for help.

Overall, not worth the price or the visit. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Indian food in Colorado Springs.

Food was delicious and plentiful. We shared lamb karma and kerala sauced cauliflower. Spice was perfect. We ordered medium heat which was perfect. Mouth warming but didnt hide the taste of the food with too much heat

Great flavor! The food was delicious, I will say to be mindful of the level of spice you select ( they offer 1-5, and when I ordered level 2 it’s still had a kick to it!) Overall a nice, clean, and inviting restaurant.

We picked up a lamb curry and a chicken curry tonight with a double order of garlic naan bread. My husband and I are huge curry fans but we have never had Indian curry until Zaika. It was SO GOOD. The rice was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the naan was fluffy and great flavor. The curry was also amazing. I will warn that they do not mess around with their spice levels. They truly mean HOT. We will be back

Service and ambience are good but the food is definitely not worth visiting. We ordered for a kebab platter and he got us half cooked meat. We ordered for mixed Biryani and I’m not sure why they call that Biryani. They just mixed all curries into plain rice and called it Biryani. It was so oily and we couldn’t even consume half of it. I won’t recommend this place

I’m not a big fan of Indian cuisine, but we decided to meet some family friends here. They like Indian food and the place had good reviews according to them. The menu is rather simple and straightforward, just two pages front and back, but many of the same options that we’ve seen at other Indian restaurants. So we have it really been able to decide on what we like versus what we don’t like.

We bought 5 of the 9 appetizers and bread for the table. Wanted to order a sampling of sauces to determine which sauce is we would like with our main dish. They couldn’t accommodate.

So my wife and I went conservative and just got a mixed rice dish.

They bring the food out and just set it on the table. Not in front of people. They also didnt announce very well what it was they were bringing out.

Service was okay but nothing spectacular.

Our family friends did really enjoy their meal and did say that the place deserved a good review, So it is with that I’ll give it four stars instead of five, and one star higher than the three I wouldn’t normally gave.

I have had a lot of curry in my life, but this was by far the BEST! We found this place by accident just looking for something delicious and nearby. 10/10 would recommend, run, drive, walk or fly to come experience the most incredible flavors!

Great food and excellent customer service! I came to Colorado for a visit and stopped by Zaika Indian Cousin to eat, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The Nepali server was very welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Ok, so I’m happily revising my review because, even though I was very disappointed the first time around, the new owner responded to my negative review and invited me back to give his new place a second chance… and was I glad he did! My experience the second time around with the new management was nearly perfect. So their staff/service was way better than prior management. They’re not the friendliest staff ever, but they are polite and respectful. The food was amazing, they give you a healthy portion, and considering the amount they serve and the quality of it, their prices are very reasonable. The place is very spacious and you don’t come out smelling like food, which is a plus for me. Listen, The Urban Tandoor is still the #1 place for Indian food here in the Springs (in my opinion, anyway). However, it’s very pricey and you don’t want to spend that kind of money every time you crave Indian food (which for me, is very often). So, frankly, this has become my number one Indian “go to” place; for the location, very delicious food, and for the value of your money. So two thumbs up from me. Thank you New Owner for inviting me back .
