We wanted to get away from the tourist trap restaurants, so we took the tram and found this gem of a restaurant based on all the reviews. The service was excellent as well as the food. The portions were large that were served. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and would come back again if I’m ever back in Athens. It’s a short walk from the tram stop.

Great value for quality food, recommended by the local. The awesome one kilo grilled lamb chop is good enough for three people. Great service, be prepare to save some room for the free desert. Highly recommend.

Ok, do not expect fancy meat cuts and so on – rather good, old-school, traditional Greek tavern meats and stuff which will definitely satisfy you. Cherry on top: some of the gentlest service people in the business and of course the loukoumades you are treated with for free at the end of every meal!

If you are around Athens this restaurant in my opinion you should go and try I loved the taste of the food and the cleans of the place. This is my first time there and I will definitely visit it again. The restaurant seems to be small from the outside but as soon as you get in you will be surprised how big it is. I liked the way you order food you write down what you want and they come and pick your order and always at the end of your meal they bring you sweets and you get to choose between dough with honey or chocolate.

This is a hidden gem that we found in Nea Smirni.
A very traditional Greek Tavern with huge portions of homemade like foods.
We started with the greek salad and tyrokafteri along with warm bread. All very tasty.
Then we ordered the Cheeseballs,the kolithokeftedes which were amazing.
And then the meat fest started…
We had the sausage,sotzoukakia all very tasty.
But the stars were the Grilled Veal Chop which was huge and enough for two persons.
The Cheese filled Mpifteki was amazing and full of flavor..
Then we had the Lamp Chops… So tender and juicy.
All meats came with french fries.
And they served us dessert Loukoumades with honey and Nutella.
Overall a must visit restaurant when in Athens!

Absolutely amazing food . The portions of meet definitely not for one person . I took veal steak no blood and it was so juicy and delicious that you can’t even imagine. My parents take pork and mix of meat and the portions was giant. We also take a Greek salad and really enjoyed it too. Definitely recommend to go and dine there .
