Ole Savannah’s menu and bar seeks to celebrate the fresh and inspired cooking and culture of the American South. We strive to deliver to our patrons a spirited and inventive twist on classic Southern cuisine. The South is about succulent, fall off the bone barbecue, fried chicken and pecan pies as much as it is about great bourbon and craft beers. Equally important to the quality of our food is the hospitality of our staff. We make sure that our heart and soul goes into every item on our menu and all our fare and spirits are served with the love and passion you deserve. “Outstanding food, served by happy people, to appreciative friends”

While some of the dishes fell short of expectations, there were a few bright spots. The fried chicken was particularly tasty and well-seasoned, and the cocktails were well-made and enjoyable. However, the ribs were undercooked and lacked flavor, and the biscuit was dry and inedible. Additionally, the baked beans were served in a plastic bowl that melted, leaving a plastic residue on the food.
Despite the mixed quality of the food, the ambiance and location were lovely, and the drinks and fried chicken were definitely worth trying. It’s worth considering Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar for the overall experience, particularly for those looking for a dog-friendly outdoor dining experience.
Overall, I recommend visiting Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar for the beautiful location and outdoor dining experience, but be cautious when ordering food. Try the fried chicken and cocktails, but be aware that some dishes may fall short of expectations.
We sat outside.
We shared a plate of fried calamari and shrimp. I loved the capers that were included. We had several cocktails too.
One if us had 1/2 rack of ribs and the rest of us had chicken souvlaki. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the chicken was simply delicious and tender. Apparently they had marinated the chicken and that made it very delicious. The tzatziki sauce was just perfect and not too garlicky. They served a basket of corn bread with butter.
Yum!
The open can was given to me without any asking if I would want a cup of ice or anything.
The ginger beer was good, though.
Shrimp dish served with 3 thinly sliced Baggett, which was soaked wet due to sauce.
Didn’t give me any utensils, so I had to hunt down another server for a spoon.
The shrimp dish was small as it was an appetizer, but the garlic soup that was served was very salty.
May be it I was dining alone, I don’t think this place for one person dining place as I didn’t receive proper attention, unfortunately.
The restaurant is a barn style and has a very high ceiling.
Nice architecture details.
Great for BBQ lovers. The selection for vegetarians is more limited, but quite delicious – mushroom ravioli, piled high with delicious oyster mushrooms. A little salty, but excellent.
An excellent location for visitors to enjoy their visit to Kingston and for locals too.
Service was good and stayed up on drinks and made some good suggestions in items to try from the bar. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot.
Restaurant is quite large and the sound is room in their loft upstairs. BBQ nachos were excellent. We also shared a salad and fried chicken. Salad was good and while the chicken was cooked perfectly the breading lacked flavor. In hindsight some of their BBQ sauce would have been tasty on it. Mashed potatoes were obviously from a box.
I see other reviews a bit negative on the food. Not hating it but not meeting expectation. So, it’s good just not great.
