From my wife and I, we often will just go to enjoy the day walking around visiting our favorite stores and then drop in to the cheesecake factory and enjoy our favorite dessert before heading home.
My favorite is the Miso Salmon. it’s excellent for just the right amount of sweetness and umami flavor from the miso. It is served with a Burr Blanc white sauce that is fantastic. I also really enjoyed the Steak Diane. It also comes with a fantastically rich sauce.
My wife’s favorite is the Beet and Avocado Salad. She gets that every time. And of course, my son loves the Fish and Chips. It’s made with fish fillets, not processed fish and is tender and delicious.
Salad Issues: The salad featured mushy, finely shredded lettuce instead of the crisp, romaine hearts medium size chopped , I expected. It was not fresh.
Grilled Chicken: The chicken breast was covered in thick, black char, making it taste burnt and, in my opinion as a medical doctor, unhealthy to consume.
Thai Stir-Fried Shrimp: This dish was particularly disappointing. For the price, I received only 6 very small, overcooked, and rubbery shrimp.( compared to their advertising menu)
For a high-end casual dining experience, I expected better quality control and ingredient freshness.
We could get better quality food at takeouts but always prefer to dine at high end restaurants for the atmosphere .I hope this feedback is passed to the kitchen staff to improve consistency.
Thank you for your response, however please consider that guests choose to dine at a restaurant to enjoy .I also have personal concerns about food waste .Having conversations with managers regarding food quality specially in front of others which would most probably end up in remake and food waste might not be the best idea in the world .It would be more appropriate if kitchen improves food quality and reasonable protein portions at first place to avoid further stressful conversations for guests , dish remake and most importantly food waste .
Thank you for considering this feedback .
I hope to have a better dining experience at Cheesecake Factory in future .
We had a wonderful lunch today at the Cheesecake Factory in Mission Viejo today. We sat in the bar area and of course the mall and restaurant was quite busy with holiday shoppers. Hannah was our amazing server and was so kind, professional and thorough. An amazing person. Hannah took our drink order and also brought us some fresh baked bread. So so good. I had the passion fruit unsweetened iced tea and my wife just wanted water. Hannah then took our order. My wife started with the small Caesar Salad and I had the small house salad. The salads were brought out by Mike who was also very professional and kind. Hannah checked back to see how the salads were and if we needed anything else. Next Sina brought out the entrees. My wife had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries and I had the skinnylicious chicken pasta. The food was hot and tasty. Sina was also professional, kind and efficient. The ambiance was pleasant and positive. The food was very good as was the service. Thanks to Hannah, Mike and Sina for their amazing customer service and to the chefs for the well made and presented food entrees.
Highly recommended.

Stopped in to Cheesecake Factory at the MV mall after some serious window shopping. We decided to sit at the bar even though I am on a health kick and haven’t had my favorite tequilla in two months. Christina was our amazing server aka bartender and took our order for ice tea and chicken pot stickers only 380 calories. The bread looked pretty tasty and my wife indulged in the yeast risen feast. We placed our entree orders with my wife ordering the regular menu turkey burger with a salad and I had the skinnylicious chicken pasta. Tania brought our food out and it looked mighty tasty. My wife’s burger was a bit overcooked and Christina promptly took it back and had a new one brought out while my wife ate her salad. The manager also came by and apologized for the overcooked gobble burger which was also quite nice. The new turkey burger arrived lickety split and was cooked to perfection. The ambiance is always positive and upbeat here at the Cheesecake Factory. I also had a nice hot cup of Java while we just peeked at the Cheesecake varieties which we disciplined ourselves to walk away from. Overall a pleasant dining experience. Good people, good food and good vibes.

Today we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in Mission Viejo. We stepped into the bar area and sat at a high top table. Hannah M was our amazing server and was friendly, professional and efficient. We started with drinks and then ordered our entrees. My wife had the burger and salad and I had the chicken avocado sandwich. The food was great and the gentleman who delivered to food was such a nice person and had terrific customer service skills. It was a very pleasant dining experience and we also took another order of chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries home. Highly recommended.

Had a nice late lunch after my wife’s doctor’s appointment. The hostess was sweet and let us to a nice table near a window. Our first server, Logan, came by and took our drink order of two Don Julio Blanco with pelligrino and three limes muddled with mint. We also ordered what they call a little house salad, which is very generous and, of course, tasty. Logan had to go home, so Saul, our new server, came by, and he was amazing. We also got bread from Logan before he checked out. My wife ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and Chicken, and I had the Madeira Chicken plate. Both entrees were good, and we had a nice time chatting. Today was my wife’s birthday so we shared cheesecake and ice cream, and I sang to her for her birthday.
The ambiance was peaceful and positive.
Highly recommended.
I had the “Factory Famous Meatloaf”meal, off the lunch specials menu. I thought the serving size was very generous.
Meatloaf – good
Mashed potatoes – good
Corn – very good
Brown gravy – good, but I thought it had a sweet BBQ flavor tinge
Enjoyed the table bread and butter.
Good service and no wait on a late weekday visit.
Recommended.
The wait then started as we noticed that, while they did not seem to be completely full, but the waitress acknowledged us and then disappeared for a while. Then she brought out their bread that was uncharacteristically hard and stale; I love their brown bread but this was not good at all. When the waitress finally showed up again after a while, she did bring better bread when I asked her.
We eventually ordered factory nachos and avocado egg rolls which came out more than 15 mins later and was luke warm. I always like their avocado egg rolls but these were not quite up to par. We also ordered the FOUR CHEESE PASTA and JAMAICAN BLACK PEPPER SHRIMP. The pasta was okay but the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp that had marinated pineapple was not; it was way too sweet and tasted more like a dessert. For dessert we shared a SALTED CARAMEL CHEESECAKE and a VANILLA BEAN CHEESECAKE. These were as expected and good.
I generally like Cheesecake factory and have visited many locations including at the Irvine Spectrum, Newport Beach Mall and elsewhere; I have been to this location numerous times as well, but this one visit was just mediocre overall. I am going to say that this visit was perhaps just an anomaly.
