First time here and I wonder why I always just drove past- it was amazing! The service was great, the food had good portions and was delicious! I always order arroz con pollo and this one did not disappoint. Very cute decor and festive.

Cute spot, great service and wonderful dishes—straight out of Guadalajara!! The detailed decor and detail on their dishes was above my expectations! The owners have 5 restaurants along the coast—good for them!!
No pictures of the food this time only chips salsa and guacamole!

The food and environment were great, but what really stood out was the service. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been served by a waitress at this skill level; she was friendly, accommodating, attentive, lightning fast, and super attuned to not just us but every single individual in the building. Absolute flow state service. I spent a decade working in the service industry and can count on one hand the number of truly gifted servers I’ve seen, and El Compadre has one. We’ll be back soon and often.

GREAT Food, great service and clean. One of my favorite Mexican dishes is Steak Fajitas and they have the BEST I’ve had in a long time. My husband had the #3 combo with a beef enchilada and two tacos. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. We’ll definitely be back.

We’ve driven by so many times & always busy. We decided to drive down & give it a shot for dinner in a Friday night. Parking lot was till but we got a table right away. The menus are in the table / thought it was super cool at guest but then not because although I had to pull out my glasses, was a strain to see everything clearly. Chips & Salsa was placed in the table & drink orders taken. Margaritas had great fruit flavor but it’s on me to make sure to ask next time if there are multiple tequila options or just one kind (as didn’t appear to be a bar but later saw a small one in the opposite side of the building)…Food order was also taken & delivered quickly for the busyness. Hands down best Chicken Tortilla soup I’ve ever had! Highly Highly recommend it. The shrimp cocktail comprise was interesting “warm & soup like” that I’m not entirely sure about…The fajita quesadilla was gigantic & I loved the presentation with the rice & bean holders. Dessert had to be ordered because it was flan…pretty good size portion for the price…I generally am not a fan (in general husband is though) but I gave it a shot. Service was great – very attentive & fast. Definitely a place to give a try if on the peninsula.

This restaurant is beautiful! The tiles to the table tops are gorgeous. The servers are friendly and attentive. They even offered my service dog water. The food is delicious! I had the super burrito. It was so, so good. The refried beans were THE BEST! I will definitely be back.

We were just walking through town checking out the shops and got hungry. We had decided to go ahead and try this place. We were greeted and seated immediately. Food was amazing. The owner was the one who waited on us, and had asked us questions like about where we were from. He was very friendly very nice and his food was really really good. It ended up being a little too much for lunch, so we took it back to our Airbnb for leftovers.

The food and service were incredible. Very attentive, kind, and generous. Many chips and salsa along with plenty icy cold water. Also got candy for everybody at the end, which was a wonderful treat. The service is stellar and so is the food. Plenty rice and beans, so if you aren’t a fan of this, make sure to ask first. The atmosphere is beautiful, filled with colors, exotic fruits and birds. Highly recommended!

The service was prompt and friendly. I had a shredded beef chimichanga and a chicken enchilada. My companion had a ground beef taco and burrito. The food was attractive on the plate and very good. The beans were excellent and the shredded beef in the chimichanga was perfect – I’d love their recipe! The guacamole was house-made with chunks of avocado & tasty. My serving was enough for 2 meals – the chimichanga alone would have been enough, so I won’t be eating the enchilada until for lunch tomorrow!
