The only reason I gave this place four stars was because of the cleanliness. It really needs a good cleaning. There was food on the floor and fingerprints everywhere but we watched her clean the table before we sat down.
The service was excellent, even though they were working short staff the server came by several times to check and make sure everything was ok.
I ordered the “Senior Meal” hash browns, bacon, and toast. This is supposed to come with sausage and grits (which I didn’t want) but it said no substitute but I received exactly what I ordered, a very generous order of hash browns, three pieces of bacon and toast. Everything was cooked to perfection and I only paid the senior price. Thank you.
I would eat here again. The staff and the service is old school and the food was excellent.

I am sure that I have never written a waffle house on my list of never visits before, but this one is now on that list.
Sat down, dirt booth seats, halfway clean table, no one took our order…
Moved to another booth because the AC vent was making us cold. That second booth was dirty and the menus were sticky. We should have gotten up and walked out then.
Waitress finally came over to take our orders. She tried to call to the cook, but the cook told her to hold, and then the cook proceeded to finish her conversation with someone at the bar before returning to the stove.
Waitress took several minutes to get us our coffees and waters.
Finally the cook gets back to the stove and starts cooking something and the. Calls to our waiter to proceed with the call for our food.
I tried the chicken protein bowl and everything in the bowl was burnt, BUT the cheese was not melted?! Not sure how that happens but I think it is a special skill…
Food was not at all close to the waffle house standard.
There was a shift change happening while we were there and there had to be 15 to 18 people and none of them were working.. or if they were they were not taking care of the customers, the few of us that were in there.
Will not be back to this one, and I would highly recommend finding something anything else to eat for breakfast if you are in the Trussville area.

You just can’t go wrong with Waffle House. Its yo Granny’s kitchen hands down. We decided to stop here at 330 AM. It was quiet and the service was good. The cook was a 6ft brotha who knew how to throw down. Didn’t get his name but he was VERY kind and attentive

Came in for early breakfast at 3 a.m. there was 3 in my party. There was only 2 other people in the restaurant. It took almost 30 minutes to get our coffee. I ordered the Delmonico Steak dinner which I order often. I always get it cooked medium rare. I was informed I couldnt get it medium rare and when I asked why the cook said it was against company policy! Im 52 years old and been eating at Waffle Houses across the country practically all my life and this is the first time I’ve been told this! IT IS NOT AGAINST COMPANY POLICY!! WAFFLE HOUSE POLICY PLAINLY STATES….. STEAKS ARE COOKED TO CUSTOMERS REQUEST!! THE COOK SHARON STRAIGHT OUT LIED TO ME BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T WANT TO COOK A STEAK MEDIUM RARE! SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!!! SHE HAD AN ATTITUDE FROM THE MINUTE WE WALKED IN. HANDS DOWN THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER HAD AT A WAFFLE HOUSE!!!

Yes, we went to Waffle House and order from this store Waffle House on Highway 11 in Trussville, Alabama the Steak bowl the meat was burnt. I don’t even think it was steak. We also had a chicken bowl and an all-star breakfast. They charged $50.40. They charged $4.20 for a service charge $4.20 for it to go charge which is ridiculous when you come and pick it up yourself and order it at the counter yourself. I had ordered from the Waffle House in Gardendale two days before and received two bowls just like that for $25 So this is a rip off to charge people a service charge and a to go charge. I would not recommend to anyone to purchase anything from there to go unless you wanna pay big for it very disappointed

Upon arrival, there were no seats which was ok. However, no one acknowledged us. After about 5 minutes, and 2 tables leaving, I went and ask one of the ladies how does seating work, because this was my first time at a Waffle house. She stated that I can sit anywhere a table is open. At this point, no table was cleaned as yet though. About 1-2 minutes later one of the ladies (Alex ) saw me looking around lost and asked me if I wanted a table. I told her yes and she seated me and took my order. I guess she could be considered the savior of my rocky first time experience. Perhaps some changes need to be made, where guest are greeted when they walk in, and it can just be said, we will be with you in an minute or if dining in, you can sit at any open table.

I enjoy having breakfast here.It’s always clean and the restrooms are always clean.The atmosphere is light and friendly. The staff seem to enjoy working here so it makes it a pleasant experience.

service was just passable, place was dirty, one customer had three children that were excessively noisy and running around the restaurant disturbing customers and left the biggest mess I ever saw. The manager should have controlled that problem, it ruined what should have been a nice experience for me and the other guests. The food was hot and good, exactly as I ordered. I understand that woman comes every Wednesday and that they always act like that. I certainly will never go there on Wednesday again.
I went back today just to see if last time was an odd day. I had the worst service I have ever had, will NOT go there again. A gentleman sat down beside me at the bar, said he was a regular. He spoke to everyone as he came in. After about 10 minutes when no one had even spoken to him, he got up and left. My waitress had bright red hair, she talked and played music on the juke box before getting my order. I have been in management 30 years, only the cook could ever work for me. He was trying to get things going but was ignored. Whoever the manager/owner is, he better get hold of that problem or that place will lose a lot of business.
