The restaurant was very busy but it didn’t take long to be served and the attendants did a fantastic job of making our burrito and bowl.
When I first picked up my burrito I couldn’t believe how hefty it was and I really appreciated that. The burrito stores were I am from, which are not Chipotle, are often very stingy with their burrito toppings. That clearly isn’t an issue here.
The flavours of everything were great. The veggies tasted like real veggies unlock other restaurants where I find the veggies are tasteless.
A minor gripe my wife and I had with this location was that the chips we ordered with the chips and queso blanco were definitely stale.
The state of the restaurant was also on the messy side but it was very busy so I could see the cleanliness being hard to upkeep with everyone addressing the customers that kept coming.
This was a great dining experience and I am very impressed with Chipotle that I would visit again when I get the chance.
The guy making the food was probably new as he was pretty slow, but he did every single person’s food chef’s kiss perfect and beautiful and with a smile.
The girl who ocasionally came over to check people out or add toppings was seemingly miserable. No smile, short answers to anyone. After getting my food and realizing that the new fella hadn’t asked me if I wanted anything else so I forgot to order 3 kids meals, I asked that girl if I could add them on. She said no and that I’d need to pay and go to the back of the 10-person line then I got to the register and didn’t have exact change (that sign would have made a lot of sense BEFORE the register by the way, like where you order or something?) but told her I would have had exact change but had been planning on the three kids meals. She stared at me and walked away without a word to ask a lady what to do. The lady looked surprised and clearly said to do the kids meals because she came back and started making them without a word (PS I’m smiling and had just complimented the guy making the food on his attention to detail and he responded like a person, so she’s just in her head). At this point I decided to give her a big tip to try to help her have a better night. Who knows, maybe people are being nasty on top of the workers just being busy. No lie, when I told her she could keep the change as a tip ($50 bill, $32 check), she literally stared at me, rolled her eyes, and didn’t say a thing and proceeded to get her tip change from the register. Ah, she also told me that despite queso being a protein option on the app and in store anywhere I’ve been for kids meals, she said they can’t do that in the store.
You can’t make these things up. Unreal.
I also want to note that you can not contact the store to speak to a human and give feedback and maybe find out which staff messed it up so they can learn from their mistakes.
To make matters worse, the place always feels disorganized. There are usually a lot of dirty tables that no one seems to be cleaning up, and other food options are often out of stock as well. They skim the portions because they don’t have enough for the line of people. It’s frustrating because the quality of the food is good, but the overall experience falls short. I hope they can get things in order soon, as this location has a lot of potential if managed well!
