As someone who reads reviews for new places to try, we decided to try this place eary this a.m. after taking our daughter back to University.
We seated ourselves as sign instructed, the young waitress quickly took our drink order, then our food order. We received our food about 10-12 mins later. It had huge portions & I seasoned to taste, the diet Pepsi has the right amount of carbonation. The biscuits & gravy were so good!
All of the food was cooked perfectly.
The floors were concrete so they looked dirty, but the place looked clean and the food & service was great as far as refills and checking on us. The waitress was great!
The bill was reasonable for the food portions.
I’d definitely return here!!!

Reminds me of a old garage or 1980’s club, like a distant familiar place.
The food, breakfast was good. The potatoes were like thick warm slices ,like potato chips. The biscuits were freaking awesome! , warm and fresh,unlike and cracker barrel crap.
The waitstaff was very nice and polite. There’s a $1.00 temp fee added to the bill for ” The price of eggs” just letting you know what that’s about.
Honestly, I’d come back to eat there.

A bar that for whatever reason is now only open 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food, coffee and service were excellent. Lighting was so dim I could barely read the menu.

Great food, service and atmosphere. My buddy and I stopped by on Tuesday on our way home from Tennessee to Indiana, our waitress was super nice, they accidentally made him regular pancakes instead of blueberry but noticed before they sent them to him, they ended up sending them out to him and still made his blueberry pancakes. Waitress got a nice tip because of her service and the fact my buddy thought she was the most beautiful girl he had seen. Would definitely eat there again if I’m in the area

Fantastic breakfast portion for the prices, was fast and delicious, friendly service. Husband says gravy was just “a little bland from what he is used to”. I liked the sliced potatoes. Essentially zero complaints and would gladly go again if we are ever back in the area. And if you need a shot in your coffee in the morning this also the place for you .

We had an excellent experience here! The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We were told that they were out of biscuits and wanted to know if toast was good, which we were fine with but our waitress came back and said they were making fresh biscuits. That just showed us they went out of their way to make us happy! Also loved the sign Don’t Sit At A Dirty Table! Some of the local restaurants, the tables are so disgusting but this place was clean! When we come through Kentucky again we will definitely be back to this amazing restaurant!

Absolutely great service and friendly staff!! The best biscuits on the planet!! The gravy was amazing! Thickest most flavorful and Best tasting bacon cooked to perfection and they made the omelet just as i asked for only it was better than I could imagine!! It is definitely Worth the 7 hour drive to come back again!! We traveled here for the National Corvette Museum and we never expected to find a place like this!! We will be back!!

I’ve been to Doug’s Motor City several times! We’ve had great experiences when there was a short staff, except today. Food was okay, but wait time to be served, get drinks, etc. There was a 5 minute period where we had our food, but no silverware. Then, we paid with card, and had no pen to sign the receipt for another several minutes. Just very disappointed in the service. Previously, staff members have been very attentive and working hard, but today’s case was staff not being aware of what needs to be done, nor doing it in a timely manner
