We chose Perkins over IHOP only to wait 128 minutes after ordering a twice as nice egg meal and one short stack of pancakes with bacon. That’s it. No explanation from server for 45 mins then I said can you find out when we will get our food? and was told 5 more mins 2 or 3 times. Finally after my child started to cry I went to front desk and was told again it would be 5 mins so we choose to leave. We have been loyal customers for many years. We will never be back.Tge server and manager walked past us at least 30 times. Never once stopped to check on us or offer a muffin or excuse about the delay. IHOP will get our business from now on. At least they were up front with us that they were behind and slammed. Perkins was not nor was it slammed. Went mcdonalds next door after food was done in 2 mins and was hot and fresh and they were really slammed.Perkins used to be a place you could count on for decent breakfast food and reasonable service. Total lack of all of it now.

Jessica was great! She greeted us right away when we were seated and asked if we wanted anything to drink while we looked over the menu. She came back with our coffees and took the order quickly. It was busy (Sunday before Christmas) so we expected a little delay. The tomatoes on the Benedict were supposed to be roasted but were a little too burnt, but everything else was great. Jessica checked in on us multiple times and was very pleasant. We enjoyed our breakfast with Perkins

Waitress was good. The steak was cooked well. needed more salt but perfectly medium like I like. BUT I do wish they would have considered how the waffles looked before bringing it out. The cook should take pride in their work and the waitress should want only the best for their table. To bring a waffle that is falling apart to the table is… I didn’t eat it. Left it how it was. Charged me an extra $1.50 for it but that’s fine. I eat with my eyes before my mouth and I really wanted some waffles . And it was really dark looking for a Belgium waffle.

I travel a lot for work and my go to choice is to find the local Perkins. This local Perkins may be the worst one I have ever been to. I ordered online for pickup. When I get there the 1 waitress there is in a bad mood and doesn’t greet me or any other customers. Just comes out with my order and asks if I’m picking up. I get my meal and go out to my truck and notice they didn’t put any utensils in the bag (it was on my receipt). I go back in and the waitress asks me what I want with a poor attitude. I get my utensils and leave. Finally open my food at my hotel (like a block away) and my milkshake is already melted and my granny omelet is instead an everything omelet. I can’t eat tomatoes so I had to open the omelet up and remove all of the tomatoes. Even my hash browns were burnt. I’m definitely not eating at this Perkins ever again.

The waitress was awesome. We were seated right away. Plus Mondays you get a free slice of pie. Food was good. My country fried steak was seriously crunchy, but still good. I like mine medium crunchy. Everything else was fine.

My family and I have gone here 3 times since moving to La Crosse a few months ago and every single time the service sucks. All three times we walked in and didn’t even get acknowledged for at least 10 minutes. Yesterday we even saw a group of people walk out after 2 servers and a manager walked by and ignored us all. The employees all look pissed off and grumpy which made the atmosphere feel tense. The first time we went we witnessed two employees arguing right behind our table. We should’ve never went back after that but the food is actually pretty good! I understand being busy, but being rude and grumpy… not so much. We gave this place 3 chances with the same outcome each time, so not sure if we’ll go back again but these employees definitely need some hospitality training.

Since 1958 with nearly 300 locations in 32 states and Canada, this family style restaurant has produced commercial style home cooked meals and baked goods. Style and floor setup is pretty common with padded booths, padded chairs with tables and display counter with muffins, pies and cookies. Wait staff takes orders from your table and you pay later at the counter. Menu offers an extensive breakfast line of Griddle Greats, Farm Fresh Omelettes, Sensational Sunrise Skillets, Egg-cellent Benedicts and more. Lunch and dinner have many options of soups and salads, signature burgers, savory supper skillets, simple comfort classics and seasonal specials. And don’t forget their ever temping variety of fruit pies, cream pies, cheesecakes, large muffins and cookies. I’ve reached the age now to join the 55 Plus Club and order a limited selection of meals at a reduced rate. My country fried steak was a lightly breaded beefsteak topped with their country-style cream sauce and came with two sides picked out of a dozen choices. I went with the garden salad with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons and ranch dressing and the red mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Overall quality and quantity was good with that simple home cooked taste. Service was friendly and yes, we took pie home with us.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Wide variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner options on the menu. The brioche fench toast was amazing. The bread was so fluffy. The chicken fried biscuits were filed with juicy chicken, fluffy biscuits and creamy gravy. The top sirloin with eggs was good. Steak a bit overcooked. Had to wait several minutes to pay my bill at the hostess desk.

The food was fresh, and arrived VERY quickly. Our waitress was quite friendly and attentive to our needs. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes, and my eggs benedict was pretty great. The hash browns were not too good. They were crispy on the outside, but undercooked on the inside, which was a bit disappointing. Overall though, this location is quite good, clean, and seems to be quite popular.

It took an hour to get our food, they warned us about a wait for being seated but didn’t say Anything about a long wait for food. They shouldn’t have sat so many people if the kitchen couldn’t keep up with orders or they should have explained thered be a long wait
The food was hot and good and the waitress was nice but overall experience could have been way better
