Ordered a seafood stir fry dish. Got a chicken dish, with a hair in it. I love the location at Upper James, this location not so much. If they ran out of seafood, they could have at least let me know, and allow me to choose what I would like to do. On top of that, I checked prices for the seafood stir fry (the one I wanted) vs. the chicken stir fry (the one I got), and of course, the chicken is less expensive.

This is a spot I’ve been coming back to for years, and it never disappoints. The menu is big and full of quality options, so there’s always something tasty to try. I’ve always loved the spring rolls here—crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor.
A solid choice if you’re craving authentic, reliable Vietnamese food.

Heard good things but was pretty disappointed. It was super slow so we missed the Ticats shuttle. For my taste I didn’t like the thick vermicelli noodles. They got a bit soggy by the end. The stir fry dish was ok, but the salad rolls seemed slapped together and uninspired. Sorry not a great place for my taste.

We love this place so much! The atmosphere is cosy. The staff are fun. The food is exceptional. Yes the protein has decreased but the flavour makes it worthwhile and the portions still provide two meals.
This was a takeout order:
Shrimp Stir Fry with crispy noodles
Mango Salad
Crispy pork roll appetizer
The restaurant is awkward if you have accessibility needs. With a walker I can make do.

My family and I have been a regular customer for years. Every single time I go here I feel like I am working just to get service. You should not have to constantly turn your head and scan the room just to make eye contact with someone so you can order or ask for something. And it is not just me. I always notice other tables doing the exact same thing, looking around, trying to flag someone down. It is honestly uncomfortable.
What makes it worse is the difference in how people are treated. It is very obvious that customers from their own culture get warmer welcomes and better greetings. The shift in energy is noticeable. Some people are greeted with smiles and enthusiasm while others get the bare minimum. It does not feel good to experience or even just witness.
Most of the staff look completely miserable. No warmth, no attentiveness, just going through the motions. The whole atmosphere feels heavy.
And let’s talk about the food. Portion sizes have definitely shrunk, especially the protein, yet the prices have gone up. You are paying more and getting less. That alone would be disappointing.
But the part that really upset me is that they overcharged me on my receipt. If I had not specifically asked for the receipt, I would have never known. It makes you wonder how often that happens to other people who do not check.
I used to enjoy going there for the food, but now it just feels frustrating and disappointing every time. My family and I will never be returning.

The restaurant atmosphere wasn’t that great because it’s pretty old customer service two people working and it’s very hard to get their attention. The noodle was super great and the spring roll with the pork chop for the rice was horrible hard as a rock.

Got the order wrong somehow. #343 isn’t simple enough for the girl taking orders over the phone. On arrival, she still couldn’t make sense of the order in person either. I say,”#343 “and she starts talking jiberish about beef something or other when it is simply chicken soup. Then, after charging me, she puts in the order without informing me that I will now be waiting for them to make it for another 15 minutes. Would have just canceled had I known. Recommend using google translate or odering online to avoid language barrier. Started coming here weekly, won’t be back. Two other pho resteraunts in the same area. One with better reviews. Taking my buisness there. Very disappointing experience. They should have someone else doing her job. Oh yeah, no chili sauce with the order either. So the soup sucked without it.

Don’t think twice about diving into this restaurant experience because out of all my Google reviews this establishment really stands out.
It’s a no nonsense restaurant set up to serve many happy customers at once.
The service is fast, friendly and the food comes out fresh and tasting delicious.
I order #600 on the menu and the soft spring rolls with shrimp are awesome!
Well done you master Pho’ers

My boyfriend and I have been coming here together for over a year now for every special occasion or even just as an outing and it has been an amazing experience every time! The food is incredible and the portions are huge! Even just a small is good to fill you up for dinner. If you’re with your partner or anyone else, you can even get a large or x-large to share and they will give you separate bowls! The staff here are really nice and the food is really quick to come out too! My boyfriend and I typically get the 318 (rare beef rice noodle soup) and it is incredible! I would also recommend their fresh rolls (especially the beef ones) if you don’t have any peanut allergies since it does come with a delicious peanut sauce! We have never had a bad experience and have been here at least 12 times together over the past year and will continue to go whenever we can 🙂
