While the chicken was well seasoned, we were extremely disappointed with the porchetta. It lacked flavor and was very chewy. After one bite, we didn’t want to continue eating it.
What truly made this a disappointing experience was the service. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, we felt neglected by our waiter. When we explained that we simply didn’t care for the porchetta, he appeared offended and repeatedly tried to convince us that it was their most popular dish and that “everyone likes it.” He kept insisting that we take it home, despite us clearly stating multiple times that we didn’t want it.
There was no table touch or effort to address our concerns, and the dish was not removed from the bill. Instead, the waiter seemed more focused on pushing us to take home a dish we didn’t enjoy, which ultimately made the experience feel uncomfortable and frustrating.
But the service is what takes it over the top. Our waiter, Johan, has taken care of us twice, and he’s exceptional. Attentive, friendly, and on point without ever hovering. You can tell he actually cares.
This place is an absolute five-star spot. Incredible food, amazing service, great energy. Highly recommend!!
As soon as I opened the door, I was enveloped by the mouthwatering aroma of delicious, crunchy pork that ignited all my senses. It felt like stepping into a warm embrace, and I couldn’t help but smile. The decor was beautifully inviting, and everyone around me was radiating joy as I strolled to my table—made me feel like I was on a runway!
We were seated at the charming circular booth in the back, where our server Eileen greeted us with a bright smile. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she eagerly shared details about the dishes and cocktails. We kicked off our meal with the famous piña colada and coquito shots, which were the perfect start to our culinary adventure.
The appetizers were a delightful symphony of flavors and textures, each dish balanced beautifully. It was my mom’s first time trying Puerto Rican food, and she was absolutely enchanted! When the main courses arrived, each dish was not only delicious but also thoughtfully executed—served at the perfect temperature, with generous portions, and bursting with flavor.
We paired our meal with a delightful bottle of red wine, which complemented the food perfectly. And dessert? Oh, the tembleque was out of this world! It was light and creamy, topped with toasted coconut flakes that added a wonderful crunch.
My daughter chose from the kids’ menu and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions—nothing greasy or overly salty, just perfectly satisfying.
I left feeling full and happy, and I can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
I came because I saw this on “Somebody Feed Phil” and he bragged on the crispy pork. Had to try it. I was so pleased that it was wonderful.
The pork was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Served with some fried belly that was great too.
I got the beans on the side…more of a soup that could be a meal all by itself. Flavors were complex and savory.
Johan served me and he was so helpful, explaining the dishes and helping me decide what to order.
Now for cost. Sure it isn’t cheap, but when you get something this good that is made from scratch it is worth it. The love and work that went into my meal was obvious. They deserve what they charge…and isn’t that really what is important.
Try it.
