Visited Cogans Pizza for a weekday lunch with colleagues. The experience was mixed. The pizzas came out with noticeable inconsistencies: some pies were dense and overly thick, while others were so soft that slices fell apart. The space itself feels more like a bar that happens to serve pizza rather than a dedicated pizzeria—basic, casual, and clearly geared toward the after-work crowd.

I ordered a 16” pie with mild sauce, mozzarella, ham, chicken, and pineapple, along with a Diet Coke. The bill came to $47, which is steep for what you get. The tomato sauce tasted underdeveloped, carrying that raw, slightly sour note you get when it hasn’t been cooked long enough.

On the positive side, they offer a wide tap selection, and I can see the place working well if you’re here for drinks first and food second. After several beers, both the atmosphere and the pricing might feel more forgiving.

Overall, not a bad spot, but certainly not a value play. Given the price-to-quality ratio, I wouldn’t return for lunch.

Absolutely wonderful! First time after hearing about this place a lot from coworkers and it is absolutely worth the hype. The place was light since it was early afternoon, but the vibe of the place is very welcoming. The staff is extremely kind! Had the BBQ pizza and it was so good I forgot to let it cool down or even take a picture until I was halfway through it. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area to try more of the food there!

Recently found this pizza spot over the holidays. And I have been back 4-5 times. The pizza is amazing and most definitely the best pizza I have had in the area. The staff was awesome matched well with the cool dive bar atmosphere. Shout out to the cooks that make the top tier food, as well as to my server Adell .

The buffalo chicken pizza is not buffalo chicken pizza had old onion on it old chicken. I know blue cheese is old cheese, but it looks rotten. Make sure you don’t get thin crust pizza because it’s literally a sheet of tortilla bread with sauce.

I’m usually a huge fan of Cogan’s, but our visit to the Ghent location on Saturday, February 14th, was unfortunately a bit of a letdown. My family and I came in expecting the usual high standard, but the service and some of the food just didn’t hit the mark this time. The biggest issue was the wait time to get any drinks we ordered and some of my family’s food took over an hour to be served. We weren’t the only ones, as we noticed several other tables around us having the same problem.
I typically go to the North Colley location where I never have any issues with speed or quality. I’m hopeful this was just a one-off bad night for the Ghent team, but it was a disappointing experience for my family nonetheless.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially as someone who grew up in the New York/New Jersey area and loves authentic pizza. The place is a bit divey, but I don’t mind that if the food delivers, and it did to a point. The garlic knots were satisfying, the salad was fresh, and the pizza itself was pretty decent.

But, here’s where things went downhill – as we were closing out our bill, I noticed a rodent running along the ledge of the restaurant. Now, I’m not an expert, but it looked more like a rat than a mouse, which is definitely not what you want to see during dinner.

I immediately informed the staff, hoping for a quick reaction, but they seemed unfazed, like this wasn’t news to them at all. I got the distinct impression this wasn’t the first time they’d heard about it.

So, while the food was decent, I can’t see myself ever going back here. If cleanliness matters to you, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other spots that serve good pizza without the side of unwanted guests.

Fast and reliable late night pizza, friendly and quick staff, Keith is a great bartender. Mediocre takeout pizza from my first experience.

Update: They are amazing! I take back what I said, their salads, garlic knots, PASTA, caprese, all of that was phenomenal. I havent tried their pizza in house yet only to go, but that is my next mission. Their alfredo pasta is amazing, my new go to!

Heard about this place from a friend. Had a large group and was on a lunch break. The server was very polite and understood we were on a time limit. Inside had plenty of seating outside a covered patio with more than enough options. Food was to go and came out pretty fast. Most of our group had the lunch special. 2 slices and garlic knots for $5. Worth going to when you’re not in a rush. Good food and staff.

I went with my two kids. One ordered spaghetti and meatballs, other shared a pizza and I ordered a beer. The beer sat at the bar for ten minutes until I asked the waiter to please bring it. I asked her when she came to tell me there were no meatballs. We still went with the pasta and sauce because the child who ordered has dietary restrictions that didn’t allow for other things in the menu. They still charged us the 13.99 of spaghetti and meatballs!! Zero meat, still 14$. I asked if that was correct and the said yes.

We had pizza and beer on for an early NYE dinner. We went because I read a review that the pizza was amazing. The service was great, the pizza was very good, but I wouldn’t say the best I ever had. They had a great beer selection. There was a crazy food all game on so the place was really loud, but we didn’t mind because we brought our baby with us. So we didn’t have to worry about her being too noisy.
Overall great experience. Loved the vibe with the staff and all the customers inside. We will be back, for sure!
