Excellent service and atmosphere!

The service here was absolutely excellent. The staff took the time to clearly explain the menu and how everything works, which made it super easy to understand. They answered every question we had, and the food came out fresh and hot straight off the grill every single time.

Our waitress, Anna, was amazing!!! Very friendly, easy to talk to, and always quick to respond whenever we needed anything. She was attentive without being overbearing, which made the experience even better.

The atmosphere is great, relaxed but with a modern, bar-and-grill kind of vibe that feels a bit more sophisticated. It’s definitely a place you can bring your family for a nice meal or stop by after a long night out to enjoy great food at reasonable prices. Definitely a bang for your buck!

We were visiting the SeaTac area for a couple of days and decided to try out this place since they were open late. We loved it so much that we went back the next night to try more dishes.

I had the oyakodon and the beef udon. Both were fantastic. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor of the beef was outstanding.

Service was friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was great. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing authentic Japanese food, super fulfilling and affordable. The beef udon had the perfect balance of meat and noodles, and the flavor was delectable!! The chicken katsu curry was also another favorite. Perfectly crispy chicken and amazing curry flavor! 10/10 totally recommending to all my family and friends. Staff are very welcoming and warm, great experience overall at this place!

This place has always been on my bookmark so I’m glad I’m finally able to give it a try!

They have a lot of selections from donburi, skewers, bento, and many more. There are a lot of options! They even have AYCE!

I decided to try out the wagyu tataki donburi, which is sliced wagyu cooked medium rare doused in ponzu sauce over rice with creamy egg yolk placed on the center. It was so good! Meat and creamy yolk melted in your mouth!

I also tried their creamy udon and and wagyu curry which both were excellent!

The servers were all friendly and would explain all the available options.

Came in for dinner and got a variety of amazing stuff! The creamy udon and wagyu donburi bowl were my favorite. But what really made this experience amazing was the service. Our server Rodrigo was super attentive and friendly. Would come back just to have him as our server again!

The gyu don meat was insanely fatty, the taste was delicious but way too much fat. It also had a bone in it, which made the experience un-enjoyable.
The curry plate was not enough for the amount of rice.
We also got there while it was empty and they sat everyone beside us even though it was empty.
The music is slightly too loud.

Out of everything I tried, the only one I didn’t like that much was the beef with rice; it was a little salty for my taste. But everything else was good.

Rod our server was super friendly and accommodating. The food was great as well as the ambience. We sat by the bar so it made me feel like being back in Japan in a Japanese izakaya. We got the garage and sukiyaki hotpot, so tasty

Shinya Shokudo treats you to excellent Japanese experience that is hard to find in Washington State. Many so called Japanese restaurants have “Americanized” or hints at Korean influence but Shinya Shokudo stays true to Japanese cuisine.
My wife and I were please with the Wagyu and Karaage curries. We personally would have liked a bit more curry to finish off the rice but it was still great. I suggest you season it with sea salt to elevate the flavor of the Wagyu beef. We also had chicken skin that pairs well with the house made tare sauce that is provided at the table. Our soba noodles didn’t disappoint as they were refreshing and seasoned well.
Our server was very kind, waters were always full and he also made some great suggestions as it was our first time dining here. Solid service and timely delivery of our meal.
Overall we were not disappointed with our experience. I wish we tried their A5 Miyazaki Ribeye and their Chirashi bowl but we were too full. If you’re looking for unadulterated Japanese cuisine that can also fill you up, try Shinya Shokudo!
