Hosted my father-in-law’s celebration of life party here per his request. Staff was so accommodating and friendly letting us decorate the courtyard to honor him with his collection of t-shirts. We had an open bar, pizzas, appetizers, and salads for guests. At sunset we all walked down to the water for a flower release ceremony with the peacocks calling in the background. It was the perfect location for this remembrance among his family and friends.

Been here 4-5 times and get disappointed every time. No improvement in food or atmosphere or service. Worst fried pickle ever for $12. Literally one (1) pickle for $12. Breading separates from pickle and mushy as heck interior. I mentioned my dislike to Server and she shrugged it off. No offer to replace or re-do it.
Chicken chunks didn’t taste fresh. Server offered to bring both blue cheese and ranch dressings, but didn’t mention additional charges. I was surprised when i got the bill. Hahaha. I felt hustled…and I’m done trying to like this place

One of our go to places that is close to home. They were very busy today and were short staffed. Shout out to our server for not only taking care of us but everyone else too. The food was excellent as usual. Tried the Mediterranean Salad and it was delicious! The adult carbonated beverages were nice and cold and you can’t beat the location. Highly recommend if you’ve never been.

I stopped by today with my dog and sat outside on the patio. The fans were going and there was plenty of shade 🙂 My server Jennifer was super knowledgeable and had good recommendations on the food. I got the portobella supreme appetizer and it was enough for a whole meal. SO GOOD!! The key lime martini was excellent, and my dog loved her burger from the doggie menu!
The owner came out to introduce himself and tell me about the business. He came up in a kitchen and knows his stuff. The food, atmosphere, and people were so great. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the food with my friends!

This is a hidden gem in St Pete, nice, low key and the pizza is great. The drink were very great, we had a long island, old fashion and lemon drop martini. There is a game room and the bldg itself is full of history. Alcapone and Babe Ruth were frequent guests. Not to mention it’s a few steps from the bay.

If you just want to have a beer, this place is fine. For dinner, it’s disappointing. They have a large menu of food that they cannot execute effectively. The two times we dined here we had new servers, so I can’t really speak to the service except to say they might have high turnover. The food service was very slow both times. They’ve added a game room but the machines don’t function properly so we had to get money back from the bar.
This place could be amazing. The location is perfect and there is a ton of clientele with money to spend literally across the street. Just cut the menu down and make actual good food! Get more games and get some good food and we’ll be regulars. There aren’t enough places like that in West St Pete so JP Tavern is a painful missed opportunity.

Restaurant within an old Spanish style with interesting architecture 1 floor apartment/condo building. Sat at the bar, had the pressed turkey ruben for lunch and a couple beers. Large menu variety, a lot of tap beer choices, large TV screens at the bar, multiple seating areas in & large patio outside, bay at the end of the street. A bit of attitude from the bar server, I wasn’t the only patron that noticed…

Love this place! Huge menu with everything cooked to perfection and delicious, decent prices, awesome service and atmosphere! The pizza is amazing, along with pretty much everything they serve.
I love how this place is still standing after 99 years; it will be 100 in 2025. The atmosphere is exactly what I look for in a true tavern. A favorite with awesome employees.

I’ve been to this place about ten times and every visit has been great. Although the menu is huge, I struggle to get past the pizza and the zucchini sandwich. Where else can you get a fantastic zucchini sandwich? They have nice craft beer for my evening dining and freshly brewed iced tea for my lunch visits. The service is friendly and prompt every time. This last time I think our server was named Nick. He was the best server I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Parking is free and plentiful, which is a win. Oh, and they have pizza for pickup, even a Sicilian style like I used to get up north!

A place in town that has lovely outdoor seating in a unique hidden beautiful spot in st pete and has a dog menu!! It was so much fun going there and enjoying a nice lunch on a Saturday with our fur baby!
The food was nice and the service was extremely quick and friendly.
My favorite was the crab appetizer! The salad was good too and the Hawaiian pizza was a nice thin crust. I just wish it had a little bit more spice to it.
There’s quite a bit of indoor outdoor seating as well as parking. Also there’s a phenomenal tour of India burial grounds right across but you have to book in advance.
All in all wonderful experience!
