As far as surprise dates go, this one will be remembered for a long time. The food was delicious and satisfying. We started with chips, queso, and salsa. Portions were above average and we needed boxea to go. I had the steak fajita natchos and he had a salmon dinner. There were plenty of options on the menu for everyone, and a kids menu as well. The drinks were fairly large (pictured is a 16oz adult drink).
Although this is absolutely a child friendly establishment, the ambiance where we were seated in out booth was so romantic. The vibes are relaxed, lighting comfortably low, noise level was quiet from patrons, but high from the live music playing. Though we are also parents, we forgot there were even children in the building. Most of the space was decorated in golds and black, it was pleasantly elegant.
Parking is fairly standard for the highlands, and while there is some, its wasn’t much. Being from Louisville ourselves, we’re used to it, so we chose to park closer to the residential areas a street over and walk.
We had a wonderful time and plan to return again for another date night.

I really enjoyed the combination of Mexican and Cuban food this restaurant had to offer! We got enchiladas verdes, a margarita flight, chicken fajitas, and a side of yuca. Everything was very delicious and authentic. Not very expensive and the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. This is definitely becoming one of my go to spots, it’s so hard to find good Mexican food in Kentucky!

My husband and I dined here for the first time Saturday night. They had a huge party and a packed house. The servers were working very hard and there was little space for hospitality individually. Still, they hit every mark. Everyone worked together so well and they impressively hosted the whole place.
The food was great, the cocktail list was elevated. I am looking forward to coming back.

It’s been years since we’ve been here, and we were surprised by all the the changes/upgrade! The atmosphere was comfy yet felt upscale. The staff were all wonderful and attentive, and the food was amazing. We got the a la crema and the verdes enchiladas and both were delicious.

We went for dinner on a cold, snowy day. All around, service from the hostess, waiter, and food runner was professional and attentive. The server recommended pork dishes and fajitas. We are happy we listened to him! We had chicken and steak fajitas and pork carnitas. We left with a takeout box because the portions were huge! Carlos made our experience a delight. We can’t wait to come back.

First time, and it was amazing. The food was great, the service is amazing and those margaritas oh my! I’ll definitely be making another visit to this establishment. The live music was also magical. Food was so good I ordered another Ribeye to go The Calamari rings didn’t make the picture they were gone real fast along with my first Ribeye.

Me and my man went on valentine’s day for the first time and unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience. Not only did it take us 30 minutes past our reservation to be sat but it took almost 2 hours to receive our food. we saw many larger parties be sat and served within 10 minutes while we were waiting hours. however the atmosphere was great, talked to great people, the workers were nice and they had many fun photo opportunities. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it’s understandably going to be busy on a holiday, but me and my boyfriend both woke up with terrible stomach aches and very upset stomachs. i wouldn’t recommend this restaurant from my personal experience:(
