The food is homemade, fresh, and consistently delicious. My usual order is a lobster roll—sometimes hot, sometimes cold—always starting with the chowder of the day.
This visit, however, I decided to step away from the meal I’d been planning for weeks and take a suggestion from Lisa by trying the Restaurant Week menu: crab and lobster chowder, lobster pie, and a slice of fruit of the forest pie (strawberry rhubarb).
What a delight. It was worth breaking my routine. I honestly don’t know anywhere else you can get that much lobster for the price they charge.
If you’re passing through the area, make sure to keep this place in mind.
I never had a lobster roll before. I was asked did I want my lobster roll cold with mayonnaise or if I wanted it hot with butter I said hot with butter the price was around $32-$34 and the meal came with french fries and onion rings and coleslaw. I did not like their coleslaw it was terrible I don’t even know they mixed with it but it’s gross I did not want french fries but I’m glad I had them because the onion rings were Taste good at all no seasoning on them. Also it was quite cold the AC kept running a lot and it Cooled down my food quickly. Also inside of my lobster roll was at the bottom lettuce which I don’t like lettuce warm on my hot food nor was I told that lettuce was gonna be underneath my hot lobster meat if I was told that that was gonna be the case then I would’ve said leave the lettuce out Cause it was all limping and nasty .
So lesson learned for the price I paid for my meal was it worth it no it was not I should’ve just asked for the lobster roll by itself and if they had said no I couldn’t have it that way then that would’ve been bad on them cause I wouldn’t have ordered it at all so one to 1- 10 , give this place in my opinion for lobster roll 3.
We ate delicious and hot clam chowder. Would go again for the chowda!
The fried pickle spears was a treat and hot.
The lobster roll in hot butter was very good.
Fried clam bellies roll was good.
Harry’s sampler was bland. The haddock was good but needed to have more of it on the plate. The scallops also were good. The fried homemade potato chips and sweet potato fries were a treat. The Cole slaw was ok. French fries ok. Onion rings were under whelming.
Would go back again. Would try the fish and chips.
