An excellent place for some US style bbq. I personally love their moist brisket and loaded fries, but pretty much everything on the menu I have tried, I have enjoyed. Their fountain soda and ice machine remind me of being back in the US. Two things I wish were different, the AC needs to be improved and the ice tea should be unsweetened..

We got the meat platter, which is a great way to try all the options.
The chicken was definitely the star of the show, very juicy meat with crispy skin.
The brisket, spicy sausage and ribs were fine but nothing to brag about.
The pulled pork was really disappointing, very bland.
Our friends got the wings and really enjoyed them.

There is lots of space for bigger groups. Can get hot on a summers day at lunch time, there are fans all around to help.

The food was fantastic yesterday. Look it’s not as good as big dons, but this platter for $65 was great values. Meats were well smoked and nicely seasoned, beer was cheap $8 for a miller draft or you could get a stellar on a Sunday for $4. Plenty of room for kids to run and some good tunes playing too. Honesty had a great time!

I was really excited to try Frank’s after finding out there was finally a Texas BBQ spot in our area. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown. Old Faithful (no longer around) and Big Don’s set the standard, and even Porkies in Bayswater was far better. I’ve never left a 1-star review before, but after spending over $100 on platters, drinks, and sides, I feel this needs to be shared.

The platter was lukewarm at best, like it had been cooked hours earlier and left sitting out. The brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken were all bone-dry, and the cheese sausage tasted like something straight from Aldi. The only thing that was halfway decent was the mashed potatoes—and even they were watery.

While eating, I checked the reviews hoping this was just a one-off bad batch, but sadly many others have had the same experience.

Like others have said, Frank’s has huge potential to be a thriving spot, but the food needs real attention, love, and flavour. I’d happily give it another chance if the quality had a serious refresh.

Franks is the perfect place for a group of friends who want to have fun night out. The venue itself provides plenty of indoor and outdoor setting and is dog friendly. The staff are very outgoing and have smiles on their faces. Unfortunately, the food itself if average; however, the tasting platter has a good amount on it. Additionally, they do $4 house beers (Stella) on weeknights which is the cheapest I know of in all of Perth. If you are looking for the best BBQ taste in Perth then Franks is probably not up to scratch. If you are looking for a nice venue that is a great hang with friends than Franks is definitely the right place.

I was a little dubious at first, but wow this place absolutely blew me away! The sample platter was hands down one of the best meat platters I’ve ever had in my life. Perfect for two people, packed with flavour, and cooked to absolute perfection. There were four different varieties of meat (plus we even got a little extra!), and every single bite was delicious. Generous portions, great sides, and just an all-round fantastic experience. Do yourself a favour and get down there and anyone who complains shame on you !!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Frank’s Bbq and I must say, the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish.
The service was outstanding — warm,
attentive, and professional without being intrusive. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations based on our preferences. Water glasses were never empty, and the pacing between courses was perfect.

The food was the true highlight. The ingredients were fresh and clearly high-quality. The layout of the restaurant was thoughtfully designed. Tables were well-spaced, providing privacy and comfort. Whether you’re dining as a couple or in a larger group, there’s a cozy yet refined ambiance that suits any occasion. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that consistently delivers quality and care.

The brisket and pulled pork were wonderful, the sausage and wings were good but not special. The dirty fries were a nice starter with some brisket on top and a little spice. The ranch was refreshing and each table had a bottle of some sort of relish/barbeque sauce that went well with the meats. Free drink refills and free bread slices was a nice addition.
Service was great as we were seated immediately (we went during a quiet night, I’ve heard it can get quite busy) and they took our dirty tray when we were finished.
Atmosphere was fun as we were all fresco, sitting on large benches. Felt like a backyard barbeque with a relaxed vibe. They also had a trough where you could was your hands without having to go the the bathroom.
Overall a very nice experience, go for the brisket and pulled pork and make sure to bring some extra money as it’s a little pricey.
