Walking in your greeted with a cheerful hello. The staff was great and tried hard to give you a great dining experience. The food wasn’t my style. I got the tour of Italy which included chicken parmesan lasagna and manicotti. It included a plate size salad with lots of lettuce tomato cheese and cucumbers different things. Except the the lettuce was kind of cheap. Breadsticks were over cooked for my style. Mariner sauce which is the magic formula for Italian food was more of a tomato soup. The price was very reasonable. They have high reviews so see for yourself.

Food: my wife ordered the Chicken Alfredo. She claimed it was cheesy bland milk and noodles with little to no flavor. I ordered The Spaghetti named after the place added 3 meatballs. Mine was also bland, it tasted like tomato water and angel hair pasta. The only flavor was from the mushrooms and bell peppers. The pepperoni was decent but the meat balls didnt have much to be desired as it was like eating a tasteless meat sponge. The appetizers was really good , however countered by mediocre breadsticks that was dry as a bone.
Service: the waitress was amazing she kept the drinks full and delivered the food quickly.
Atmosphere: its an Italian restaurant with an american diner feel inside. Clean and well kept up building. Its parking is limited but has great access from the main highway or back roads around it.it just didnt feel Italian diner, they could have served a meat and three and it would have looked like it for the decor.
Conclusion: Giovanni’s has always been good i dont know whats changed since my last visit long time ago.our meal was over 50 bucks for food not worth serving in a diner that didnt feel Italian.

My wife and I went for our anniversary at the end of May, it was our first visit there and our waitress was very helpful, very friendly, a smile always on her face, helped us with questions about the menu, I believe her name was Elizabeth. She definitely made our first time very delightful. As far as the food goes, the pizza was amazing, had a great taste, didn’t take forever to cook and the buy one get one free was an added bonus. They did have to remake one as well dool have a good allergy and we asked it be left off, but it was still added. But our waitress took it right back and had a new one remade and handled the problem for us. I also ordered their spaghetti & meatballs, I am a huge spaghetti lover, however it fell short of par for my taste. It wasn’t very flavorful in my honest opinion, and just wasn’t a very well made dish. It presented well, but that’s about all. Over all, I would definitely visit again, just for the pizza, as it was a home run for us! And the atmosphere is nice and cozy as well!

I was looking for a place that was open on my birthday (Sunday). I had always wanted to try Giovanni’s, so this was the day. The atmosphere was very old school, which was nice as a local place should be. The food was great. The best calzone I have ever had and great fried mushrooms. I will be back to try some of their other items when I am back in Albertville.

I had the Giovanni special in the meat lovers. I didn’t know but it was buy one get one so that made it even better. My friend got the cauliflower crust pizza and they really liked it.

Oh my goodness, how good was this?? Even their ravioli is fantastic! Look how hearty that stromboli is! And dessert wasn’t photographed because I was too busy protecting it from everyone else at the table!! I had the baklava! And as a little Greek lady, I was quite pleased with it! Thank you Giovanni’s!

It was okay.
Full review:
My husband and I ate dinner at Giovanni’s Pizza on Saturday, 8/12/23 around 6pm. The parking was adequate. The location was handicap and wheelchair accessible. The restaurant was busy and crowded. Several tables had not been bussed or cleaned, so we picked one that had been bussed and we cleaned it with hand wipes. (I think the staff noticed and called the busboy to clear tables.) The staff was friendly and the service was fast. However, the cashier was easily distracted and moved on to other customers without giving me my receipt (that I requested). The pizza was okay; nothing to write home about. The cheesecake was odd. It had a sponge cake bottom instead of the traditional graham cracker crust. The limoncello Italian cake was good. The pizza price was good, but the cake slices were expensive. One cake slice cost about as much as our small pizza. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad. I would try this restaurant again if I’m ever in the area again.
