Absolutely delicious. We had never been here before.The gentleman taking our order was extremely nice and helpful. The food was incredible. I didn’t even take photos cause we were so ready do dig in. Wish I would have. We got a few orders of enchiladas with multiple sauces. Enchiladas were great and so were the sides. The cheese and jalapeño tómales were fantastic. Nachos and beans were also excellent. Will definitely be back here again in the near future. My husband got a beef tongue taco and said it was great too!

It doesn’t look like too much on the outside, and the dining area itself is kind of small. But don’t let those two things fool you.

The food here is amazing and priced very affordably. It’s authentic, and whoever is cooking it definitely knows what they’re doing. They have this kind of sandwich with very light fluffy bread, just try it. I wish I could remember what it was called.

The service is great. The person at the counter when I was there had the best energy. Just seemed very happy to be there helping people and talking to them.

And finally the reason that there’s not a larger dining area is because this place also doubles as a Mexican market. With Mexican Pop, and snacks. And I think that’s just really cool. The inside is colorful and artistically done.

Honestly this place feels like a little mom and pop restaurant somebody wanted to give its own feel to. I think they succeeded. I highly recommend you stop in.

Also if your vacationing on a budget I feel like this place is authentic Traverse City without a huge price tag.

Quaint and welcoming taqueria. The man at the front greeted us with a big smile and was very helpful with the menu. The food had that comforting, home-cooked flavor—we really enjoyed everything we ordered. A great spot if you’re looking for friendly service and authentic taste.

This place the staff is extremely friendly. The food is really good and you get more than normal plus the prices are very reasonable. This has become my favorite mexican joint. I’d rather have good food and friendly service than a fancy restaurant. This place is the best in TC. Go to margaritas if you want to be treated like crap and pay a lot for a little portion of ok food.

I frequently order tamales here and the quality has been going down for some time, tonight hit an all time low. I was headed to work, called and placed a pick up order for a dozen tamales cold. Simple right. Tipped well even for them having to do nothing but package the order. I got to work for my 12 hour shift all excited to share with my coworkers for dinner, and my tamales were covered in mold, the husks had black mold spots and white fuzzy all over them. I called to inform them and they couldn’t comprehend that their food was rotten and bad. What else are they serving that’s moldy?!?

This place is absolutely amazing, not only are the staff kind and welcoming. They’re amazing cooks. Every time that we’ve come in, the place is spotless and filled with ambiance. Very deserving of the five star review. I looove the tamales!

We’ve been coming here since they opened, and lately the quality have taken a nosedive. We boight $150 of pico, guac, beans and rice and only the beans and rice were edible.
They’re adding so much raw white cooking onion to their pico and guac it’s hard to quantify. At least 50% of both were the cheapest, strongest white onion any of us have ever tasted. We ended up with 3 1/2 tubs of the 4 guacs we prdered, 2 1/2 of the 3 picos and a bunch of disappointed tailgaters.

Great authentic Mexican food! I’m from Arizona, and it’s been hard to find a mex restaurant I’m satisfied with, and this one is legit. No frills inside, and they seem to cater more to takeout, but there are a few tables to sit at and eat if you want to. Very nice staff.
