Stopped in for some lunch and let me just say this place did not disappoint. My daughter had a loaded pork baked potato that was big enough for three people and we had the pulled pork plates which was absolutely amazing. Every bite was so full of flavor and our tea glasses were constantly filled. We will definitely be back

This place is awesome with homemade white sauce and desserts. Really good pulled pork barbeque, chicken, and stuffed potatoes that are huge and delicious!!!!!! Baked beans, potato salad, green beans and cole slaw all made to perfection. Johnnys has been a staple in Cullman for 62 years and is still family owned.

We went for lunch, the parking lot was full. Walked in and sat down immediately. The place is huge. I had the pork plate. It was more than enough food and was great barbecue. Service is prompt and very friendly. This marks the second visit to have eaten here and I enjoyed both times. Looking forward to my next visit to Cullman so I can have lunch at Johnny’s again.

First visit to this place after several friends recommended it. It was even better than they described. I had a hamburger steak with grilled onions and brown gravy and it might have been the best hb steak I’ve ever had. Others had catfish fillets, whole catfish, ribs, and Brunswick stew. Everybody thought their food was very, very good. The service was excellent and our server joined right in when we were giving one of the guys in our party a hard time. Then more of the staff stopped by the table to pick on him too. Just a fun place, with really great food. Worth the drive from Huntsville for something different.

I use to live in Cullman and moved away almost 20 years ago. This is by far the best BBQ I’ve had anywhere in Alabama. There are a few on the Gulf Coast that are good, but not as good as Johnny’s. I’ve had friends that drove over an hour to come here. Thank yall!

We eat there all the time and it’s the best BBQ around. We recently used them to cater a wedding and their catering service exceeded our expectations. Absolutely phenomenal service and food. The workers were professional and the food was just as good as the restaurant’s. Good job Josh and team. Two more weddings to go.

Delicious and our waitress was so nice. We came to see Ave Maria Grotto and saw the parking lot full and that’s our indication that food is great, and it was. My 9 year old daughter attempted to eat a pulled pork sandwidge the size of her face and amazingly got 75% of the way through. It was excellent BBQ and the most perfect french fries. My husband got the pulled pork plate and cleaned that sucker. Hope to go back next time we have a chance.

This is by far one of the most overrated restaurants I have ever been to. Their BBQ sucks. They hide that fact under what actually is a really good sauce. People brag about their stuffed potatoes, but it’s really hard to screw up a stuffed potato – even at it’s absolute worst it’s still good. Get the BBQ on a plate and I promise you will be disappointed. No flavor. I couldn’t stomach the BBQ last time I was there so I tried the catfish. It was also disappointing – overcooked and dry, with no flavor. I took a few bites and threw the rest away, then felt sick afterward. I won’t be going back here anymore.
