I find the food is very consistent and the Service is always superb. James JB did a great job serving and made sure I had everything I needed.
I started with some Fresh warm bread and the Lobster Bisque Soup with
Lobster, sherry, cream, lemon croutons.
It was not the best soup i have ever had for $15 but still good enough to enjoy.
I ordered two mains, the tender and tasty Bacon wrapped Filet Mignon And the Oven Roasted pistachio crusted Salmon With Garlic mashed potato’s Both very delicious and satisfying meals.
I also tried the Sautéed Mushrooms and I didn’t enjoy those as much as I thought i would. I found the texture to be a bit off for my liking.
I ended with the indulgent Billy Miner Pie with Mocha ice cream, chocolate crust, fudge, caramel, almonds.
This pie is definitely the star of the show. Even if you are as full as a Toad like me, you must finish it because it has layers of ice cream that wouldn’t make it home.
One disappointment I have about the Keg restaurants in general are the hours.
It would be such a nice place to have lunch and the earliest it opens on some days is 3pm.
I will be back again but I’ll have to remember to wear stretchy pants next time. I was so full they almost had to roll me outta there!
I have a gluten allergy and most dining experiences cause me some stress as I feel it’s very inconvenient but a Manager came to the table, explained the process and ensured that my meal would be handled with care.
Mike made a fabulous wine recommendation, and walked me through my order. We tried something new and was not disappointed. We’ll absolutely ask for him again.
Thanks for a great night out.
Reservation is recommended, we didn’t and the wait time was 40min . Didn’t take that long, we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. The restaurant was busy! Happy to say that didn’t affect the service. We enjoyed the Neptune Mushrooms, fantastic Ribeye Steak , my husband had the prime rib (cooked just perfect, medium rare) and added a lobster tail . It was delicious !!! It’s a bit pricey but the portions are very generous. We like to come here a few times a year. Always the perfect meal! Lots of parking as this restaurant is in a mall plaza. Right off of Hwy 401, couldn’t be easier to get to.
We were seated at a nice table and greeted promptly by our server, Breanne, who was polite, attentive, and very accommodating from the start. My girlfriend advised her that we were avoiding CMP and soy due to our newborn, and Breanne immediately helped us navigate the menu to ensure everything met our needs. Shortly after placing our order, the manager, James, came by our table to triple-check the details and confirm that all dietary requirements would be handled properly.
When our meals arrived, everything was cooked to perfection and exactly as ordered, thanks to both Breanne and James. This was, without question, the best experience we have ever had at any Keg location—and possibly at any restaurant.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both of them for the outstanding service. We will definitely be returning!
I had not been back in about six years after a bad visit, and I honestly regret giving it another shot. We were seated at 6:30 and the kids did not receive their small desserts until around 8:40. The service was painfully slow all evening and everyone at the table was getting frustrated.
Both kids who ordered steak asked for medium rare and the steaks came out extremely undercooked. Not slightly under, but closer to rare rare than medium rare. We had to send them back. My son ended up switching to something else entirely. Another child at the table ordered pasta and received a noticeably smaller portion than someone else who ordered the exact same dish. The inconsistency was hard to ignore.
When the bills finally came, our server disappeared without bringing a payment machine. After waiting again, I eventually went up to the front to pay. There were three staff members standing at the hostess station doing nothing. I explained that I just wanted to settle the bill and leave. They told me my server was supposed to handle it and had to go find her. At that point it had been well over two and a half hours for a dinner with kids.
The manager did come over and asked how everything was. I explained the steak issue and the overall slow service. It felt overwhelming by the end of the night.
The total was around $100 and it simply did not reflect the level of service or food quality we experienced.
The only bright spot was my kids. They were incredibly well behaved and patient through the whole ordeal, and I was proud of them.
Unfortunately, this visit confirmed why I stayed away for six years. I will not be returning.
Last night we had a lovely waitress…she was amazing. The atmosphere is so lovely and inviting. The food is top notch..and cooked to perfection. We were over the moon with our experience at the keg!
