On the border used to be one of my favorite places for food however this time it wasn’t so. I will be back and hopefully next time it will be better server would disappear for long periods of time and food was not typical for on the border standards

The “Guac Live” is live for real, concocted right in front of your table. That kind of sincere advertising is worthy of commendation. It’s a standard Mexican cuisine served with emphasis on hospitality. Of the few locations On The Border corporate decided to keep operational, this one was more than deserving of continued business.

As a local realtor, I spend a lot of time dining around the area and I have to say this Chili’s truly stands out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor you can tell they care about consistency here. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to grab a bite after a long day of showings. Definitely one of the better Chili’s locations I’ve been to. Highly recommend for both locals and anyone passing through!

You don’t appreciate something until it’s gone. After several closures of OTB around the US, it’s nice to still have one left that is somewhat nearby. Since this one is right outside the Garden State Plaza mall, it’s best to come on a Sunday when all the stores are closed. Food is still as good as I remember and you can’t beat their chips and salsa. The place looks a little dated inside, but don’t let that hold you back from visiting. Pleasant experience and friendly staff too.

My wife and I had a very nice experience here on a Saturday late afternoon for an early dinner. The chips and salsa they give you when you first sit down are delicious.
The fajitas were delicious and the margarita was excellent. Overall, a nice dinner.

4 stars compared to a Mom and Pop. Chain restaurants have a purpose but the food isn’t as good as a locally owned restaurant. The chips were awesome while the chimichanga just didn’t taste fresh. My food came out in a timely manner and the waitress was on the spot. I’ll definitely go back but I’ll always choose a locally owned restaurant over a Chain.

Used to go to on the border in Hicksville all the time getting served amazing meals with great portions. The birria tacos were absolutely awful today. Barely had any meat in the taco. I was shocked and disappointed.

The service was great! Knowing it was very busy, the server brought large bowls of chips and salsa to the table to hold us over while we waited for our entrees so we didn’t have to keep chasing her down for refills. Smart.
The size of the entrees were on the smaller side but it was enough considering they gave out free chips.
Overall, it was a great experience. The best part had to be the brownie dessert!
