So i was told not to come here, but I figure to give it a try, I was told this place takes forever, I usually never put places on blast, people need to stay far away. Service sucks, food was terrible, ordered a medium rare steak came out well done. I was told that was medium rare, waited 45 minutes to get my drinks and about an 1 hour and half later to get my food it was about 2 hours and most of my party didn’t even receive their food. This place wasn’t even busy or even packed, in matter of face it was dead. Overall I wouldn’t even feed this food to my dogs. STAY FAR AWAY.

This place is an absolute train wreck.
Actually, it might be worse.
Some people can actually walk away from a train wreck and still board another train. I, on the other hand, will never come here.
I’m here, 2 hrs in, service is absolutely horrendous. More than half of the menu offerings are unavailable.
20-30 minutes for drinks to come out, 40 mins for appetizers. Over an hour later dinner rolled out. 3 steaks came out dry as sand. $36 for this? Do you have any steak sauce? Not so much. The leftovers are going home to my 90lb pit.
Oh, we’re missing a plate.
6 people at my table ordered food, 5 dishes came out… the other one is coming … is coming… is coming… yeah, not so much.
Oh, it came out. Box it to-go.
I could go on and on, but there’s really no point. There’s a reason this place has an abundance of 1-star reviews. Avoid this place at all costs.
Go next door to Pal Campo, much better food and overall experience.
John Taffer would shut this place down in an instant. Horrible ticket times, horrible service.
The Mojito was okay.

We recently celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday at MamaJuana Cafe, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and truly went above and beyond to make the occasion special.
The ambiance was elegant yet cozy–ideal for a milestone celebration. The table setups were beautiful, and they even accommodated some custom touches we requested along with music. The food was outstanding: every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and served promptly. Our guests are still raving about the food/location.
What really stood out was the service. The team was attentive without being intrusive, and they handled everything with grace and professionalism. It felt like they genuinely cared about making the day memorable for my mom, and they succeeded.
If you’re looking for a place to host a meaningful celebration, I wholeheartedly recommend MamaJuana Cafe. They helped us create a moment we’ll cherish forever.

I went with a big dinner party recently and I was hoping this food would live up to the name. Supposedly there is a Dominican cook in the kitchen well maybe cause I went on a Sunday she had off cause the whole snapper fish I had was tasteless! The presentation of it was just here! The way they cooked my yucca fries I was disappointed! My family also ordered drinks that we took back a few times because it was bad. They need a whole new menu and a real Spanish cook!

4/25/2023 – Went here during a bachelorette trip. We went on Friday 4/21 right when they opened. We booked a reservation in advance. The décor is gorgeous. They have an Instagram selfie worthy wall. I have never seen a place use tablets as a menu. All of the food and drinks was super delicious. I got the stuffed salmon and a Caesar salad. The salmon was sooo good. I also got the drink that comes in a pineapple, also super good. The only issue I had was they were short staffed. We did however have a large party of 12. It took about 3 1/2 hours for our full dine in time. There were maybe 4 other tables and some take out orders during the time we were there. I would still highly recommend stopping by here to enjoy the décor and delicious food and drinks. Even with us waiting for long periods of time, we had drinks to help with waiting on the food. The waiter was also super nice, checked in on us, and helped with whatever we asked for.

Went here yesterday with a party of about 16 of us. Everyone ordered meals but it took over an hour for the delay and we never had an apology. The server seemed overwhelmed and my salad which was served last was wilted and stale. Never received the plantain yet it was on the bill. The presentation of each meal was excellent, served in many different ways. Pricey! Downside too, mischievous bug flying around. I would have expected someone to explain why we were delayed for over an hour. We waited because we were among friends.

lucky enough to try their launch of their Brunch Menu. Delicious is an understatement. Food was so delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant is spacious, atmosphere is welcoming. I think this is is by far the worst restaurant in Tampa. No seasoning on food, 50% of menu is not available. They brought shrimp in what I can only describe as in unseasoned milk and boiled dime sized shrimp replaced for lobster. They had chicken available for appetizers and it wasn’t chicken. Steak came 1hr and a half no flavor because they don’t have a cook I heard. Absolutely terrible terrible place all around. They don’t belong in Tampa. Worst food in Tampa save yourself the trip everyone. I left with my stomach hurting.

WOW! I had no idea such a place existed in this area! What a vibe inside! The atmosphere is fire! The nicely crafted cocktails to the very Dominican inspired dishes and the DJ playing the perfect music to make you want to dance in your seat. They do special birthday shots with sparklers and even have a photographer there to capture your special moments if you would like! The service is fast and friendly. The menus are all electronic with is really neat and they are full of pictures to help you decide. Later on in the night that open a tiki hut area that is more like a club. Just an overall unique place to be to enjoy the night out.
