We have been eating at this restaurant for over 11 years! If I had to choose one place to eat over and over in Kansas City, it would definitely be Costa Vida.
Over the last year, we’ve had the opportunity to build relationships with the staff here. We have watched the management team continue to work effortlessly and diligently to make Costa Vida even better than it already was. They are always greeting customers when they walk in, checking on them at their tables, and asking about their day in such a personal and caring way.
Our family often jokes that the employees seem more like family with each other… and that’s how you know you have great leaders.

The sweet pork burrito was delicious! They even put cheese sauce over the top. The staff were very helpful. One of the employees named Wendy was so nice and took the time to throw our trash away when she didn’t need to. I would definitely recommend Costa Vida! If you haven’t tried it , you should!

i personally have loved coming to costa vida recently since being introduced to it by a friend, amazing service very personable and hardworking crew, always striving to get my order perfect and creating conversation with each and every customer. besides the amazing crew that is just a bonus, the food itself is delicious and reasonable for a fast service restaurant. i will be continuing to give them my business as it is by far one of my favorite fast service restaurants in the lees summit area!

Jose is a big reason of why my mom and I love coming to eat lunch at Costa Vida multiple times a week. He is always so kind, makes our food exactly how we like it, and has become a friendly face we look forward to seeing every time we step foot into the restaurant. Costa Vida is always kept so clean which is another reason we keep coming back. It is our favorite restaurant to get lunch at. Jose & his team are the best!

**Food Review**
The food itself was good, with plenty of amazing choices available. My only concern was the way items were managed on the line. The onions and green peppers were down to just a few pieces, and there weren’t fresh replacements ready to add. The rice had stuck to the bottom of the pan, and I noticed staff scraping it out to serve. While I understand the desire to avoid waste, this practice gives the impression that food is being stretched at the expense of safety and quality.
As customers, we should feel comfortable speaking up to ensure that what’s being served meets the standards of freshness and quality we expect. A little more attentiveness to replenishing items promptly and encouraging customer feedback would make the overall dining experience much stronger.

Skip the other Mexican grills and head straight to Costa Vida! They prepare it fresh right in front of you. Watch them press the tortillas then grill them to perfection. It’s just as affordable as other places and my kids love it. A+
