This was our 1st and Last time we will be coming here. The waitress tried to put on this cute ‘Little’ act. I was not impressed to say the least. The chicken soup literally had a whole chunk of chicken in their bowl barely no broth, and no rice. My Wife asked for extra Salad Dressing and didn’t receive any. We both ordered Steaks. My Wife had the 16oz Ribeye Medium and it was burnt and tasted chard. I had the Prime Rib with a loaded baked potato. The prime rib was far from Medium, it was definitely more well done. And as far as the potato last time I checked a loaded potato has Butter, Sour Cream, Bacon and Cheese. There was maybe 5 bacon crumbles, little cheese, and absolutely NO Butter or sour cream.

We tried getting ‘Littles’ attention several times and were ignored. She also didn’t know the difference between a King & Queen cut. How many ounces it is, etc… I will say I’ve always heard nothing but Good about this place so this was a huge letdown. The Bus Boys were way more attentive to our needs and helped out since the waitress couldn’t be bothered.

Just a suggestion from someone who works in foods. DO BETTER!!! Train your staff to know your menu. They should know the difference between a King and Queen cut of meat. Your Buss Boys are on point and clean up immediately and definitely deserve a raise. Upon exiting all the waitresses were gathered around talking while their were customers needing help.

We will not be returning. Horrible service, Horrible and overcooked Food. Would not recommend.

The nail was very busy we placed a carry out order for 8 people. Food was ready when we arrived to pick it up. It was hot and very good. We ordered the fish fry 1/2 fried and 1/2 baked.

This place is family owned and the owners are always around working so hard. The Friday fish fry is my favorite. There is usually a short wait but that just gives you time to visit at the bar. You have to try the shrimp dejonghe…outstanding. The bartenders (Maria and Cathy) anre. Instantly in motion and serve the best drinks.

As always, our experience at the Rusty Nail Saloon was great. Had lunch there today and the service was great as well as the food. I highly recommend the Birria Quesadillas.

Fantastic, fun local place. The food here is great! Very casual dining with multiple areas for folks to gather. There’s a bar area with decent seating at the bar and plenty within the lounge/gaming area. Service is fast and extremely attentive. The haddock and perch is to Die For!! All you can eat was plentiful and almost too much for the average human to handle! Can’t say enough about the taste!!

The Fish Fry is Excellent
It’s been several years since we went to the Rusty Nail for fish so we gave it another visit and we’re glad we did. Located in quiet little Ringwood, their parking lot, especially on fish fry Friday, is packed, but we did find a spot. There are many dining areas inside and all were pretty full, but we opted to eat out on the back patio taking advantage of the warm weather. The patio is huge and there was only one other couple there when we sat down. A few more groups sat outside during our visit. My wife ordered the Reuben Sandwich ($13.00) and a side salad for an extra $1.50. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry Special which is all you can eat haddock, baked, beer battered, or a combo of both for $16.00. I know they have several beers on tap, but don’t recall what I ordered. I do remember that a ‘tall’ was only $3.50 and that’s a pretty good deal. It was just a short wait for our meals to come out. The Reuben is a stack of juicy, tender, tasty, thin sliced corned beef piled high an marble rye with just a bit of sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing with a side pickle. The side salad had fresh greens and veggies and my wife had the house made creamy garlic dressing which our server recommended – and it was a great dressing! My fish plate had two portions of baked fish and two beer battered and fried filets. Joining the fish was a pile of what I think were battered french fries. A super light crunchy coating over the potato fry and the inside was nice and soft. The baked fish was seasoned well, just the right amount of salt, paprika and maybe some house blend. The fried fish was just the way I like it. A very thin batter covering a thick, flaky fish. The flavor is very much like the usual cod you see at fish frys. A few dabs of melted butter and fresh lemon on each bite just made both styles of fish even better. Tarter sauce is available for those that want it. I’m a big eater and had no desire for more fish, but it is all you can eat. This has to be one of the best fish frys around.

Our first time here went well today. We came in around 6pm (Friday) and waited about 45 minutes, while waiting, one of the staff was passing out freshly baked pretzels to those of us who were waiting, that was fantastic because it helped with our hunger, lol. We got seated and the waitress was super friendly and took our order, we ordered 2 fish frys with a side of potato pancakes. It took about 35 minutes to get our haddock fish fry, and we realized we got fries instead of potato pancakes after the waitress dropped off our order, I was pretty bummed, but also hungry, and didn’t want to bother, it was super busy in there. The fish was fantastic, it was very meaty and lean. I loved it, and it was way less greasy than other fish fries I had. The cole slaw was fantastic and the fries were good. We had half our plates left and took it home. Overall, we had a great experience. Would come back again for the fish fry and to try potato pancakes!

Really good food and really good service. Only downfall is sitting at the bar you’ll freeze to death every time the door opens.
