I recently tried the country-style chicken and waffles based on some glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t fully live up to the hype.
Starting with the good—the waffles were excellent. Fluffy, golden, and cooked just right, they had a great balance of sweetness and texture. Definitely the highlight of the meal.
However, the chicken wings were a bit of a letdown. The portion size felt off, and the wings themselves didn’t stand out in terms of flavor. For a dish that relies so heavily on both elements shining, it threw the balance off.
The biggest disappointment was the mac & cheese. It tasted dry and prepackaged—not homemade or freshly prepared as I expected from a spot that prides itself on comfort food. It just didn’t match the glowing reviews I’d read beforehand.
Overall, the waffles are worth a try, but I’d recommend revisiting the chicken wing portions and reworking the mac & cheese for a fresher, more authentic taste.

They can never get my uber order correct. I ask for butter on the side every time and every time they forget it or don’t give the extra I’ve asked for. Then the waffles are extremely soggy when they arrive or when i get it in person it’s stillll soggy soon as i get it. I always have to put it in the oven. I only keel coming back because i like the INGREDIENTS of the waffle and iced tea to the point that i will suffer and remake my food how i want once i get it. But continuing to pay 30$ to not receive what ive asked for is INSANE !!!!!

No I didn’t order waffles from a waffle spot, hear me out. I was looking for a good half & half which I’ve found is kinda hard when getting it delivered. As you can see they offered a pretty big cup but I’ve never been asked how many sugars or did I want cream added I asked for 2 sugars and it came out ok. I was satisfied. I got my half and half fix The shrimp were perfect! Perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned the fries on the other hand were not. If you don’t season the fries right out of the grease it’s kinda hard to get them seasoned after without over seasoning them. For that reason and the non existenting seafood sauce I had to give them 3 Stars. I would order again. Everything was packed well including utensils.

Food is trash. Got Breakfast dishes some French toast with scrambled eggs with grits and sausage. Also had the chicken and waffles and when I say horrible. If I could leave no stars I would. I showed up early to get the food and the food was served cold.Grits were like water very runny, my choice of meat tasted like the day before I even ordered anything. My scrambled eggs were inedible. Like whoever is in that kitchen can’t cook for nothing. The chicken to the waffles cold and bland meaning no flavor at all. Even the waffle looked undercooked and how hard is it to make a waffle??? Couldn’t finish the food and it sucks that I had to waste money on that garbage but take a wild guess to where it’s going? I would go back and get a refund but they need the money to keep serving that TRASH !!!!

Stopped here to grab a quick bite after reading the positive reviews, and it was a solid experience. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese waffle slider and a chicken waffle slider. Both were hot, fresh and delicious. The waffle was perfectly fluffy and the chicken had just the right amount of crunch. One downside was the unpleasant service from the staff. The food quality made up for the poor service though, so if I am ever in the area again and craving breakfast food, I would return.

I read the reviews before I tested out the food. Damn…I was disappointed. It ain’t a good feeling to see the money down a drain while throwing away a good chunk of food. Cannot blame the folks because I noticed most of them are blue collar workers…constantly on the go. While as I have the luxury of having money and time to explore food all over the United States.
Anyhoo…back to the point…I ordered around 8:30am for small mac n cheese along with Lumberjack platter (choice of pancakes/french toast/waffles, eggs, hash brown & choice of meat). I got myself sausage and two wings (I was curious about their chicken ofc).
Eggs & hash browns: Tastes similar to McDonald’s except that hash browns are small circular shaped pieces.
Wings: Pretty much plain but right kind of crispness. Not too thick, not too thin. I asked for mambo sauce, it tastes more like BBQ sauce…unsure if the worker gave me wrong sauce.
Sausage: What…the…heck. The sausage was dried up and when I was chewing a piece of it in my mouth, it reminded me of scrapple after being left on stovetop for a long while.
Pancakes/French Toast: Pancakes lost their crisp edges but still had the fluffiness and no distinct flavor/kick to it. French toast- it’s a big NO in my book. It tasted as if they just dipped the bread quickly in a plain egg batter and placed on the grill.
Mac n cheese: What a disappointment. But again I am very picky when it comes down to mac n cheese, I don’t really like Chik Fil A Mac cheese but I def would pick Chik Fil A over this one for sure. This mac n cheese…they didn’t use a combination of cheeses along with cream/spices necessary to make that beautiful harmony. I’m unsure if they used processed shredded cheese.
This place is perfect for those who enjoy similar quality of food with likes of McDonald’s and they are FAST with their food (the food are already prepped and ready to go).
Total cost: approx. $22

I’ve been coming here for years when ever I have to meet clients. Lunch and dinner is the best option in this area. Glad this location recently remodeled inside. Gone are the old sticky tables in are the ergonomic chairs and a station for their house made MAMBO sauce.
Everything here is delicious. From the chicken, waffles, fries, potato salad and even half lemonade and tea drankkk.
Location wise this is far from being safe. Your always going to see cops in or surrounding the area. Food never disappoints and you will always find a line here. Don’t be alarmed lines go really fast.
Service is great and food comes out rather quickly. If your in the area for some bomb chicken n waffles this is the spot. Glad this place is doing well after all these years and they’ve kept prices reasonable.

Haven’t even tried their food yet. Still stuck on their lack of customer service. No hello…I did they’re watching the guy flirt with the lady… eating her food at the counter (nasty). Wasted my time then I got no thank you. Just let my food on the counter I did want to order s dessert but changed my mind because no one was there to assist me. This was my first time there and won’t be eating here again.
