Consistently good food every time we come here. Fast and friendly service. Crawfish were a little small but crawfish season has not fully ramped up yet. Head on shrimp with spicy garlic seasoning is everything! Oysters were fresh and tasty and you cannot beat the Happy Hour margaritas! Otherwise no regrets! ✅️☺️

Stopped by during their happy hour. The raw oysters seemed ok, but it didn’t seem super fresh. The wings were dry and very mediocre as far as flavor. The soup was more runny than I’d have liked. The butterfly shrimp was mostly batter. Tbh, none of the food seemed like it was something I’d want again. Not much interaction with the staff so can’t speak on the service, but the interior looked like most other seafood places. With other good options around, i recommend passing on this place.

I dined at this location on Feb 5th and had a pleasant experience. I went with my usual Ceviche. The portion was perfect as it was plentiful and the chips were huge and fried to perfection. Although I enjoyed my food, I will give the Ceviche a 4 out of 5 this time. However, the reason for my review is to commend the service from Tatyana and the other young, black lady. How nice! They were so warm and pleasant. Tatyana greeted me promptly and with a smile. The other lady that delivered my food, also smiled the entire time and treated my warmly. She also checked on me later and was so nice.

We stopped into Aw Shucks and walked out genuinely happy I chose it. The place has this laid-back, coastal feel that immediately puts you in a good mood. The seafood tasted fresh, seasoned just right, and came out faster than I expected. The staff had an easygoing friendliness that made the whole experience feel comfortable and unforced. It’s the kind of spot where you finish your meal thinking, Yeah, were definitely coming back here!

I really wanted to like this place because I love seafood and just moved less than 5 minutes away, but the shrimp and sausage gumbo missed the mark completely. The roux had a raw flour taste, and unseasoned steamed shrimp were stacked on top instead of cooked in. The shrimp felt like an afterthought, and the sausage was cut so small it didn’t add flavor or protein. I make gumbo roux from scratch, and just by looking at the color, I could tell the flour wasn’t parched enough—resulting in a dish that tasted more like savory flour porridge than actual gumbo. I had to drown it in Tabasco and Worcestershire just to make it edible. The fried oysters and margarita were just okay-ish. Hoping for improvements because I’d love to see this place succeed.
Overall impression – the people and place amazing, the food that doesn’t require science, probably good… but the craft and science of cooking was not here.

To start the New Year off, I went to Aw Shucks in Frisco,Tx on Preston Rd. Today 1/2/26. And WOW!
Let’s start with the appearance . The restaurant was spotless. And this may be tmi , but I normally don’t go to restrooms before I eat because of if I do , and the restrooms aren’t clean. I will walk right out. However, not here! The restrooms were VERY clean!
The service . Lucas took my order . Which was a 2 piece catfish fillet . My order came with fries also. I sat in the patio area , which was as also very clean and well kept.
The food. Oh my! The fish was so so hot , I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool off a bit. And the fries were perfect. The fish was so incredibly fresh.
Tisa was the manager and she made sure everything was great. And it certainly was! I don’t normally give 5 stars all across the board . But Aw Shucks definitely deserves it. If you want good food, great service , then for sure give them a try. I will definitely be back!
Also, I ordered 2 more plates to go!

I really enjoyed dining here for dinner tonight. The service was excellent! Great attitude all the workers are nice and tentative. Tessa the manager is very welcoming and she was also patient with us, since today was our first time going. I love shellfish and they have a pretty good verity of shellfish. They have different kinds of seafood and I really liked how multicultural this place is. You can find from cocktail shrimp, to clam chowder. So from Mexico to New England cuisine LITERALLY! The atmosphere is that of, traditional good southern feel with a modern touch. The cocktails were great! Something worth mentioning; Micheladas are very well prepared. If you are a picky michelada person (which I am) you’ll enjoy these.

The food here is Absolutely Delicious. We ordered the Whole Catfish Basket Extra Crispy. It was piping hot, crispy, and hit the spot for my fish craving. I’m glad they are close to me. This has become a regular spot for me. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. I enjoyed my first dining experience at this location. I will be back. Thank you for great food!!
