I ordered a hotdogs plate and when I called my order in I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes, I arrived to pick up my food in 10 minutes. When I got home my hotdogs was soggy because they put it in tin foil with a pickle spear and my fries were ice cold. I called back to speak to the manager who was extremely rude and told me it was my fault the fries were cold and they didn’t put a pickle in my plate. Don’t want anyone else wasting their hard earned money.

We went on a sunday, the place was about 80% filled, we got seated fairly quickly, the service was kind and helpful. The menu had a decent variety of food. The food came out pretty quickly. The food was average nothing really special I must say but most disappointing were the fries which arrived barely warm. Perhaps it was an off day. Play some today’s food prices that were average and fair and I still recommend that you try them out perhaps you have better luck than I did.

Old style restaurant with good service and good food. We had to wait a little while but we ran into Miss Dorothy and we just all sit down together and enjoyed a good meal. Miss Sarah was a wonderful waitress, she had a great attitude and checked on us regularly.

2022: The food and service continue to be excellent each visit.
2019: The food and service were excellent. Another table ordered a double burger and fries (it was huge) and fish and shrimp… I have to get back to try those. Everything was hot, properly seasoned, and delicious!

These people cannot cook! I ordered fried pork chops and got baked porkchops. Yams come straight out of the can. This is everytime I went there never get what I ask for. Will not pay another 20.00 for nothing. Then they took a tip i didn’t authorized. Didn’t know takeout get a tip, make it make sense.

We were visiting from North Carolina because of a competition between schools. And Before finals started we went and had lunch at TJ Family restaurant. It just felt like it was warm and welcoming just by the name. When you walk in you can immediately tell that it is a family oriented establishment. And very popular with the locals. After sitting down we were informed that a lot of what they have is made by them. Homemade cooking I was in heaven. I just watched what everybody was ordering looking at the food. And just overwhelmed with what was I gonna order. I went Italian, My daughter went mediterranean. And Deborah went American. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The waitress Katie was wonderful. Also helped out with some of the ordering. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is riding by. And we will be going back. We are just over the North Carolina line.

prices in store doesn’t reflect the same as the menu prices online. paid $11 for a waffle that came hard as a rock. would take it back but honestly for the quality of the food & prices i wont be back. wasn’t impressed with dinner as well. you can get fresher food at ihop or waffle house sadly!

My first time here, I was greeted promptly. My waitress Jennifer was very attentive and Professional. There was a good crowd which indicated that people really enjoy coming here. The TJ special was cooked as requested and the house chips were crispy and not a greasy mess, as often the case. There was a minor mishap, when the overzealous bus boy had cleaned away my food, while I was away from the table briefly. I was given a sincere apology and a fresh burger was quickly made. Kudos to the fine staff for a great experience.

Got your baked chicken and dressing for you were out of turkey. It was nasty you should have chicken gravy not brown. The cabbage tasted as if they were leftovers the only thing good was the yams.. you need to change and have different vegetables on certain days not the same ones.
