Went in for the first time with my husband and children . Ordered our food. I can’t have dairy so I ordered chicken enchiladas (#5) with no cheese .
When the food gets to my table the enchiladas had no cheese on top but they were stuffed with cheese in the inside. I told the waitress once it was placed in front of me that I’m sorry ma’am I can’t have this there is cheese in the inside . She only said okay and then took it back to the kitchen . After about 5-8 minutes she brought me a new plate but this time . They brought me enchiladas with no chicken inside , no cheese inside , and it was just a corn tortilla rolled tightly completely empty with a little bit of sauce on top . I am extremely disappointed! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through . Oh and talk about service ? We didn’t even get asked if we wanted a refill on the children’s waters or our drinks 0/10 recommend…..

What a suprise this was. We wanted a meal and drinks. They only served margaritas and beer, but that worked i like cocktails. The food was excellent. The salsa was great, perfect flavor, and not too hot. Service was awesome, and they were so friendly. The atmosphere only got a 3 star. It’s a little shabby looking, but that’s fine with me if the food is good and it was very good. I will go back if I’m ever in the area again.

Food is good, service is ok. They let us bring our little 2lb puppy in for over 2 months now. They loved the puppy, holding him, passing him around kissing him and then on Dec 11, we went again with our pup. He is always contained in his carriage and for the most part is very quiet. No complaints from other customers either while we were there, it was only us. As we sat there eating I can hear them talking in spanish about the dog and if he was a therapy dog and staring at us. As my husband paid the check they questioned it. He was honest and said no not an official one, but he is to us. They then said only therapy dogs are allowed. We have been costumer’s for many years and to listen them talk about us in another language. You just lost a long time customer!! Y’all have become very rude and to assume customers don’t understand you because of the way they look is prejudice.

Stopped here on our way from San Antonio, heading home to Riviera. We were glad we did. Food was very delicious.

I ordered caldo de pollo (chicken soup with vegetables) and it tasted like something my grandma would make. It made me feel warm, loved and gave me the feeling of being back at home. I absolutely recommend this dish. Very well seasoned, great taste. I ordered it with freshly made in house corn tortillas. Very good as well.

My husband ordered the molleja plate. He opted out for the crispy version. They were delicious and he absolutely loved his choice.

The horchata was good.

The staff seemed to enjoy their work and get along well. They were all very nice and friendly. They talked nice to one another and laughed like when you laugh with friends.

Recommend this place. Would return.

This is a small hidden gem, in a small town on our route back home. We fell upon this place randomly 2 years ago, and it was probably the best food we had in a long time. Fast forward 2 years later, we plan a route to stop at this specific restaurant and it is still every bit as good as we remembered.
Food is sooo good, staff is so kind and attentive, atmosphere is home like.

Could use a few repairs on the inside, but in the economy we’re in right now, we need to have grace. Good customer service means way more and they had it.
Don’t forget to try the lemonade!!

Food was really really good. Service was meh. Another person in our group got a margarita and apparently it wasn’t good at all. So. Skip the drinks and just order the food.

We’ve been eating here for years on our way to and from the RGV. The food tastes good, portions are ample and prices are reasonable.

Ordered and picked up four breakfast tacos to go and they are huge ❤️ I got two of the Machala Mexicana and two bacon potato egg and cheese tacos ❤️ Flour tortillas are authentic to the core!

Hashbrowns way overcooked. Coffee too strong or not fresh. Mopped floors so slippery are a lawsuit waiting to happen.
