This was a great choice for lunch. It was quite busy. Did take a while to get our meals, but that was not unexpected.
A couple of things to know. The dining room is upstairs of a significant flight of stairs. It is a decorated old building, but the walls are unfinished original brick. Hence it reflects the sound and it gets quite noisy. There is a parking lot and the parking appeared to be out of court.
The service was prompt. We got the truffle bacon pizza. It was spectacular with the right amount of toppings and cheese over a delicious crust. The other item in the picture is the street corn shrimp tacos. They were good, but the taste was a bit mild for me. The portions were adequate and their prices were reasonable.
I would definitely go back here on sample some of the other items on the menu. It was hard making a choice because of so many things sounded good.
I would recommend trying it.

Very nice place like old good tavern back form ages.
Food is good and if you planing to get at lunch or dinner it’s better to have reservations.

The Pickle cheesesteak was great! The extreme wings would have been better if they covered them in sauce. Barely no sauce here as you can see. The extreme sauce isn’t that hot so they can step it up a lil, overall I will be back, the food is good

Great spot, this is a hidden gem in pennsylvania.
Servers are very friendly and service is fast and efficient. Drinks are free too (or was it a meal?, didn’t really make it super clear). Would go again if I’m in the area.

Came here on a Wednesday night and was very glad we had reservations. This is a very busy place because it is fabulous. If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff is very courteous and attentive. While waiting for my companion a guest leaving suggested I order the “Frenchie” and I did. This sandwich is a combination of a cheese steak and French onion soup. Took half of it home. The Reuben my companion ordered was rated as excellent. This historic building provides a unique ambiance for a memorable dining experience. Can’t wait to go back, and try other selections.

First … very busy place and always recommend a reservation. That said they accommodated my party of 6 promptly. The waitress was amazing and making sure always everything was great. Now the food , very best fresh ingredients and great flavor on variety of all our foods. Didn’t have to wait long either for the check to come. Very good night out.

Have been here several times and each time I hope for a better outcome but it never is. I’ll start with the good. The atmosphere is really nice. Nicely decorated, burning fireplace, quaint, feel like you’re eating in an authentic rustic barn. But that’s where it stops. Every single time I go either the service is absolutely awful with long waits for a waiter or no seating. It is just mismanaged. They stop answering the phone which then makes people just walk in when they could/should answer and say they have nothing available. Or you make a reservation and then you arrive and suddenly there’s no table. Or you ask to be put on the list, they say they will add you and then you get there and you were never added. Then they have the pizza area downstairs which also is just a mess. It seems like they let kids manage it rather than overseeing it. Overall They need better trained and more staff…. Better systems for reservations. It has great potential but they are trying to do too much.

Jackie and Julia made our experience a great one! They handled our food allergies and special requests with patience and care and gave us some of the best service we’ve had at any restaurant in years. The food and atmosphere were also great. Highly recommend!
