Slim Chicken in Broken Arrow review – Facebook
Reviews
Slim’s chicken is honestly my favorite chicken joint,
Plus is nice and clean and staff are nice, the foods very good and just a nice place to hangout for a bit.
Definitely recommend the Hungry Meal or chicks meal or anything else honestly, along with Honey BBQ or Spicy BBQ
Been here well over dozen times and Slim’s is great.
Restrooms near entrance immediately so not hard to find. Restroom was clean being a 1stall 1urinal {mens}
Napkins and ketchup at the tables.
Place has TV’s and music allowing entertainment.
You have a great variety of seating, normal tables, high seats, booths or even outside patio, Or single seating. Honestly I’ve been in every seating area and love the patio during winter.
They also got a 2 way drive through which I normally don’t see, nice.
This is a great place to grab a bite with friends or relax with yourself while editing or browsing the web with a nice treat.
Only thing I would like to see more of is outlets as I do normally hang around for more than an hour depending on the day/time.
Also noise depends on how busy it is* normally quiet
Overall a great place that’s worth picking up/dining in for food,
The food was fresh. I ordered the cayenne chicken sandwich and it definitely had some flavor to it. I loved the pickels, it added that certain something extra. I would recommend trying a side of sauce with it.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was average. Restrooms were definitely some of the cleaner ones I saw while in Tulsa.
Overall, would definitely stop again
The big franchises or the independent locals?
Who has it, the best?
I start this quest with a strong bias towards Slim Chickens in Broken Arrow. I have tried it several years ago and I was impressed. Proceeding with a redo of the fast-food chicken restaurant outlets. The competitors are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo’s, Zaxby’s, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken.
Slim Chickens is a strong competitor. It has a big salad. Loaded with chicken, vegies and a bonus of onion rings. They have more varieties of dressing than a pack of Crayola crayons has colors. A five-star Slim’s Salad today. This is going to be hard to beat. The chicken is good. Not the best in the industry, but good. Of the franchises, I prefer Raising Cane’s chicken. Unfortunately, they are not in the competition, because they do not offer a salad. That’s a good thing, sticking to the what they do best.
Slim Chickens restaurant in Broken Arrow is clean. The service is outstanding for a fast-food franchise. One of the very best in service.
Now there is something else. Nothing to do with the salad.
The fried pickles. A heaping basket of greasy, crisp, crunchy, salty, spicey, vinegary, thin sliced pickles, with a perfect fried flour and corn meal coating. Dipping sauce NOT needed! I have never had any this good anywhere, period. Check the pictures and try them the next time you are in the store.
Off to another chicken joint I go!
Had the sign up offer for a free Cayene-Ranch Chicken Sandwich which basically has some fried onions, cayene ranch mayo and the crispy chicken with lettuce on top of it. Along with that, I ordered a regular fries and a vanila shake. The extra slim sauce costs 39 cents which I wish was free. The flavor for the sandwich was good but not spicy at all. Liked the crispiness of the chicken. The fries was surprisingly good. It had the crunchy feel and felt delicious when you dip it with slim sauce. The vanila shake didn’t live upto my expectation though. I wish I should have just ordered a fresh lemonade. But overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you like crispy chicken.
Another time, I had the mixed 3-3 wing meal(mango habanero and hot Nashville). The hot Nashville tenders was very dry and not hot at all.
Their latest addition – Nashville Chicken Sandwich is a gem. Brownies are always the best.
