Good ole Church’s Chicken!!! We have one left in our city. I love their chicken, especially when it’s fresh out the grease!!! My husband said if you don’t get fresh chicken, and they serve that old chicken, it’ll definitely be their downfall. They also have okra, which is delicious!!! It’s one of my Mom’s favorite, along with corn on the cob. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it anymore! And the biscuits, baby, those honey glazed biscuits are delicious!! First thing that I eat! Now the chicken is good!! It can be hit or miss, but I notice, and this is my opinion, it’s better when the owners are not there! I’ve seen them in the early hours, so I try to come after 12. ♂️ Just seems like the chicken has a little more love. If you haven’t had Church’s, you are definitely missing out!! My husband loves the hot sauce and hot peppers. They didn’t have the seasoning packs though. Maybe later!! But y’all give them and try, and expect to wait a little while!! It’s worth it! I also hope that they will do another update of the restaurant. They seem to make quite a bit of money, so hopefully they’ll improve on the appearance of the store! But definitely would recommend the food!!

Respect to the business, but today was horrible around 6 pm came into an ice cold restaurant, that had no heat , and a homeless man sitting at an unoccupied table begging for chicken casually. I can tell the male cook in the back was more concerned of the R & B music playing on the radio while he is singing to one of the female workers, because I ordered a 5 piece tender and he couldn’t have enough respect for the establishment to make sure my food was of standard. I received 4 instead of 5 tenders. Small mistake but next time please I hope the cook can sing a better tune and make sure he can count correctly because this is basically theft and who’s to know is he can count, so there might need to be a evaluation on my American idol cook ..

BRING BACK THE OLD CHURCH’S CHICKEN!!!!!
This new CHURCH’S CHICKEN is horrible
My hubby thought he’d finally stop by and get what he normally gets at Church’s, 2 chicken wings, okra, biscuit, pepper and apple pie. To his surprise the meal was $17 which he paid thinking cause the price of food has gone up everywhere. WELL….when he got home and opened up the box, it was sad to see this $17 box meal!!!
The wings were small, not like they use to be, the okra were nasty, like they were fried in old grease and burnt
This DEFINITELY was overpriced!!!! We will not be going back there again on 14th & Broadway in Gary, IN. This was a great disappointment The food is not the same nor is the taste. WHAT HAPPENED???? RIP OFF FOR SURE!!!
SHAME ON CHURCH’S CHICKEN. Guess they can do as they’re pleased seeing this is the only one we have around….so sad and ridiculous!!!!

Really busy or just a mess. Ordered online on their website and got delivered the wrong order, got somebody from Uber’s order and the driver was from grub hub. The driver wasn’t about to help and the phone numbers I found (3 are listed in different places) didn’t work, and when my fiancé went in to fix it, it was too busy and loud for him to get any help. This was my one meal out of the week and now I’m stuck with ramen and a bill of over $50. Love their food so I’m a mess rn.

This place needs a drive thru ASAP, other than that the chicken is always good would rate it a 5 star but sometimes it just gets to packed there and you stay there waiting for a long time like again a drive thru would help so much better.

My chicken wings were undercooked! and the service was horrible the young lady who served me was incompetent and could not do her job properly.I do not recommend churches texas chicken your better off going to the supermarket and buying frozen chicken wings i am appalled at this service i will not be going here again.

The food is always fresh and hot, and the crew always has a good attitude. There are some things that need to be addressed with corporate. For example, certain items are advertised but are not available, but it’s not the restaurant’s fault.
