I’ve been coming to Arepa Station for years, and they never disappoint! The Venezuelan food here is done authentically, and everything tastes amazing. I ordered the lunch special with grilled chicken, chicken salad, and the coleslaw salad, and it was all delicious. Make sure to get an order of the tequenos when you are here! They also officer a 10% discount for officers and firemen!!

There is a certain gamble in dining inside a gas station: one expects either regret or revelation. At Arepa Station, it is decisively the latter. Tucked into an unlikely corner, this modest counter turns out food of surprising quality and character, rewarding those willing to look past its surroundings.

The arepas are the clear focus and the clear strength. Each arrives crisp on the exterior, giving way to a soft, tender interior that holds its fillings without collapse. I favor the Pabellón, where sweet, almost melting plantains meet a generous heap of cheese and richly seasoned meat. The components blend seamlessly, delivering bold flavor and deep satisfaction in what is, at heart, a simple sandwich. The sauces only heighten the experience—bright, assertive, and applied with confidence.

Portions are substantial. One arepa is more than enough, and despite their heft, they maintain structure, avoiding the soggy fate that often plagues such stuffed breads. This is not delicate food—there will be grease—but it is far more composed than many comparable spots, and all the better for it.

Service is quick and efficient, reinforcing the sense that this is a place built for steady local traffic. They also extend discounts to military members and veterans, a thoughtful gesture that reflects the restaurant’s community-minded spirit.

Eating on site is possible, though the setting reminds you where you are. The occasional aroma of disinfectant drifting in from freshly cleaned restrooms is an unavoidable reality of the gas station environment. It is a minor intrusion, but one that underscores the need to adjust expectations of ambiance. A bit of Spanish goes a long way here as well, and leaning into that exchange only adds to the authenticity of the experience.

Arepa Station is not an everyday indulgence—it is rich, filling food best enjoyed in moderation—but when the craving returns, I am always glad to answer it. Get past the location, embrace the simplicity, and you will find something genuinely rewarding.

My rating: ★★★★☆
1 star — I will never return.
2 stars — If nearby, I might return, but without urgency.
3 stars — Worth a visit if in the area, though not a destination in itself.
4 stars — Worth going out of your way to enjoy.
5 stars — I would fly around the world for this meal.

The customer service from Majo was great. Super sweet and the food was good, however it is a bit pricey. It also didn’t seem as if we were eating in a gas station, it was clean and big.

The service was quite slow, and my arepa didn’t have much meat. The flavor was good, but the portions could be improved. Hopefully, they can work on these details

I went there today for an Arepa, Empanada and a Guava juice, these 3 item came out to nearly $30, which seemed extremely over priced to me, for the quality of food you actually get. The empanada was thin and stuffed with mostly with chewy steak and the cheese was okay. The empanada was okay too, a little too oily for my taste but anyway… the guava juice was perfectly delicious no complaints there. To me it was too much money and the food quality did not match. The cashier wasn’t friendly nor smiled, and she moved really slow, there was not sense of urgency. They either have to bring those prices down or vamp up the food quality.
