We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at Undercurrent and cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant and their staff, especially Wes, Jordan and Adam. Everyone went above and beyond to make this a night to remember for my son and his bride to be and the entire night was a huge success. The food was amazing, the space was elegant and there was plenty of room to entertain the wedding party as well their friends for a Welcome Party after.
I highly recommend Undercurrent. Making the decision to host the rehearsal dinner and party there was the best decision we’ve made in a long time. We will definitely be back!!

We were in town fron NY and decided to give Undercurrent a shot. Im glad we did. Ordered lobster/shrimp eggroll. They were crisp and delicious, the mustard dipping sauce was excellent. The riceballs were just as good. Main courses were duck and the salmon. The duck was cooked to perfection as was the salmon. The service was spot on. Staff was polite and attentive.
For desert I had the banana cremebrule.. absolutely yummy. I would be hard pressed to find anything wrong with my experience other than parking was rather limited.

Let me say how when we walked in we got smiles so it was very nice. When we sat down at the table we probably waited 10 minutes before we got the first person to come and say anything. That was disappointing for sure but once we had the server came she was nice and accommodating. We were supposed to get bread at the beginning but probably 10 to 15 minutes later she came and said she was baking some and it will be out in a bit again waiting for something. Then the bread came out then another 20 minutes then out dinner came out so it was an easy 30 minutes for the food. The food was on point very good no complaints about that at all we all enjoyed it. Overall a good experience we would go again just not in a hurry too.

Food was very good , all that you would want from a good restaurant.
The only issue was that is was very loud, the sound in the building travels very easy , so you can hear everything and nothing at the same time . That was my only issue having to talk over the other people .
Great food. The Mocktails where very good.

I have visited Undercurrent a handful of times and it has always been fabulous! They change the menu a little seasonally. My absolute favorite at the moment is the skillet seared salmon. I get mine well done, but paired with the pesto linguini it’s phenomenal! The service and atmosphere is always great.

The atmosphere is open and bright. Not great or attentive service. Has the butternut squash soup and beef and lentil soup. It was very good. The lobster and shrimp spring rolls were highly recommended but I didn’t care for them. The sauce was not authentic and the stuffing inside was too much filling and not much lobster or shrimp. We had the special of filet minion with crab and shrimp on top. It was delicious and tender. The arugula salad in the side was okay, the dressing was very tangy. Probably wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Many kudos to the mixologist- our cocktails were definitely a highlight of our experience. Service given by Savannah was excellent. We had the crab cake and the ribeye as the main courses, and both were well-seasoned. Really appreciated the casual, quiet atmosphere so that we could chat during our date night. Price for the food quality and quantity was actually lower than we expected. We would come back.

We really loved our first visit to Undercurrent. I say first because we’ll definitely be back. The most obvious benefit is that it’s a couple of blocks from the Tanger Performing Arts Center. That being said, we enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. The service was top notch. There was a variety of food options, and we really loved every bite. The tuna starter was delicious, and we had trout and salmon wish were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

The restaurant was great, we had a reservation, we walked right in and were seated. Our server Te was absolutely an angel. The only thing that I didn’t like was the samosas. I felt like they missed the spot. Other than that, the food was pretty good. I highly recommend the cauliflower appetizer it was sublime.
They had three non alcoholic cocktail options and a few NA Beers and Wine. We got two of the mocktails, and the citrus one was truly amazing.
Two things that I didn’t love.
When they say vegetarian options are available, they mean you order an entree and get no protein, just the side vegetables. Which led to some issues with the vegetarian at the table. They already have cauliflower and other items on the menu that are vegetarian. It just made no sense to me that there isn’t a more robust vegetarian entree.
The other thing was that one of the bussers was slightly judgey about someone using a steak knife for the grilled chicken. We only had butter knives on the table. So when the steak knives went around, it only made sense to grab a real knife.
Otherwise, it was a lovely dining experience, and we will be going back. We really enjoyed the experience.

Wonderful brunch on Sunday during the Folk Festival. We arrived several minutes before opening and resolved to sit outside and wait. But, the host opened the door, invited us in for coffee while we waited for the kitchen to open. The coffee was excellent.
My friend ordered French toast and a side of scrambled eggs. I didn’t try any, but he said it was amazing. I had the shrimp & grits and can confirm they were amazing. Not overly spiced, just wonderfully creamy grits, sauteed shrimp, and a delightful remolaude. The biscuits were small, but excellent, and presented in a basket and wrapped in linen like the precious cargo they are!
Our waiter was perfectly attentive without being intrusive. My coffee was refilled right on time, each time. Same with water.
The overall experience far exceeded expectations.
