Atmosphere: This is a former home, which is now a restaurant with a bar and extra seating on the upstairs floor. It’s such a cozy atmosphere, even without decorations. The layout is great and there’s outdoor seating. Add in the holiday decorations, which goes far and above anything I’ve seen at a restaurant, if you go in, just look at the amount of work and detail they put into this. Tiny ornaments hanging from lights or garlands. I’m sure it took a whole day to set this all up! Incredible work.
The food: First off, if you’re waiting for a seat, you can go upstairs and see if the bar is open. If not, you can still order drinks and wait at the bar until your seat is ready. But the food is terrific. Lots of options! About 8 different kinds of salsa for chips/toppings. A lot of variety in the meats and everything we ate here was terrific. Handmade tortillas!
Price: the pricing is a bit higher than an average taco place but you’re also getting a better atmosphere and better tasting food overall, so it’s worth the price.
The staff was all amazing and nice and super easy to connect with and were all personable.
Overall, this place is very popular for a reason! Definitely check it out and I know I’ll be back for more!
Absolutely loved this spot! Nico’s Taco and Tequila Bar had the cutest Christmas décor—festive without being over-the-top and such a great vibe. We sat at the bar, and they were kind enough to turn the football game on for us, which was much appreciated.
The bartenders/mixologists were on point—every drink we ordered hit exactly right. They also had the most adorable souvenir boot shots, which made the experience even more fun.
Now let’s talk food—the tacos were fantastic and filling with an impressive variety to choose from. Options included calamari, pescado, camarón, and mixed mushroom tacos, just to name a few. Everything we tried was flavorful and well made.
Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, and excellent service. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back again soon
Unfortunately, on our way back to our cars parked near Nico’s, we were followed by a random man. I truly believe the night could have taken a very bad turn. In our haste to get away from this stranger, we rushed back to Nico’s — even though it was closing time.
The man was bold enough to follow us inside. We immediately alerted the staff, and they sprang into action without hesitation. They removed him from the building, kept us safe, made sure he stayed away from the entrance, and even escorted us to our cars. When I pulled away, he was still lingering around outside, staring at the building, so their support meant everything.
I am beyond grateful that the staff didn’t just send us back out and that they worked together to keep us safe. Nico’s has a forever customer in me!
