Cute place, nice people, good food. We stopped in for breakfast on a road trip and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

This is a cozy place with great food, good service, and fun things to look at. They do get crowded, but the wait isn’t usually too long. You get a buzzer so you know when a table is ready. Love this place! We go every time we come into town.

When we first walked in we were met with a Luke warm welcome. Which turned out to be quite foreshadowing. We weren’t shown our table, more so just gestured us to the back with her hand. We went to the very back where there was the only 2 chairs available. I was confused if I was at the right table as there was already people sitting at the table. But no I was at the right table. You’d think when you go to a restaurant you’d, idk, not be expected to share a table with strangers. Not only that it was at what could only be described as a work desk. But like maybe the food will be worth it right? I ordered the French toast and hot chocolate and my friend got the wagon train. 6 dollars for hot chocolate isn’t that big of a deal until I realized they poured it from a gas station cappuccino machine. The frech toast was mostly cold, and I had to soak it in syrup so it wasn’t so dry. The wagon train surprisingly didn’t taste horrible. It was just as cold as the French toast but hey what can you expect from a 40 minute wait.

The Colonial always delivers! Every dish that I have had here has been delicious. My wife gets the French Toast style Cinnamon Roll and it is the best Cinnamon Roll I’ve ever eaten. Coffee is hot and they keep the cup full. Service is always fantastic. This time I ate the Wagon Train and the ham was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, everything came out piping hot. Just perfect in every way. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

Why this was our first time visiting here, I don’t know. It definitely won’t be the last. The food was delicious, the staff was pleasant. They gave us a beeper while we waited for a table so we went to the Kringle’s shop next door. Waited about 15m. Parking isn’t the best but worth the hassle.

If you are a tourist visiting…. just get the waffles. High prices for a subpar breakfast. $10.50 for a very small plain breakfast burrito was highly disappointing. Also, maybe skip ordering something with shrimp. The service was the best part of the experience. My coffee cup never went empty, and our server was nice. I don’t usually give low star ratings, but for a place on the strip, it was a lot underwhelming.

We came with a group of 9, so that my have been to our determent. The service was fine (they were really busy) and the food was fine also. Nothing really stuck out here and for the price we had expected an amazing experience.

Overall: This place was nice and affordable, but it wasn’t special to me. I can see people extremely loving this place, but out of all the stops we went to during our visit, this just was our least favorite. Again, I think you should try for yourselves, because I can see people loving this place. But I do not believe we’ll return again.

Good portions, and decent taste. Just wasn’t anything worth writing home about. My girlfriend didn’t like her French toast so that also was the bummer for her based on the other place down the street whose French toast she absolutely adored. My food was decent and I ate the full thing.
Staff:
Absolutely the sweetest thing in the world. This review hopefully does not reflect on them negatively at all. They were super sweet, super nice, had great suggestions and was knowledgeable of the menu. You can tell they love what they do.

My breakfast was amazing! The eggs and bacon were made perfectly! You can tell that they are high quality items by the taste!
My husband had corn beef hash and he said it was delicious. He was hooked on the rye bread!! He would give his breakfast a 5 stars as well!!!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! The staff is so kind and very efficient. Upon entering this place I had no expectations, but somehow they were surpassed. The atmosphere was so cozy. Reminded me of eating at your grandmas house! The hostess was on top of everything. She was very helpful and so lovely. Wasn’t a horrible wait and definitely worth it. The food was so delicious and such a great price. I honestly don’t think I have ever eaten something so fast. Yeah I was hungry, but it was just SO GOOD!!!! I got the Adult Deal (no eggs) with 2 chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. I would come back to Hot Springs just for this place, definitely would recommend it to anyone.
