Stopped here for lunch today. Great selection of fresh seafood here. We tried the shrimp tacos and the 3 choice fried seafood platter. Both were excellent choices. Our waiter was very helpful and super friendly. You could tell he liked his job and was great at it. The atmosphere was welcoming and gave you that small town family owned vibe. As we were leaving we had to check out the fresh seafood counter. Of course we couldn’t leave without getting some fresh Seafood Cevish and Jumbo shrimp to go. Also absolutely delicious and made a great football game treat! Highly recommend trying this place when you are in the area. We will certainly come back here on our next trip down here.

Los Tortugo’s is a combo seafood market and restaurant … we went to dinner at the restaurant. It’s an OK place … service was very slow. We sat outside, and it took 20 minutes and multiple requests to get a server to our table. Most of our food was delivered barely warm. We ordered the crab cake and grilled crab claws appetizers. Just OK … Dinner was flounder and red snapper. The fish was good, was as noted served lukewarm. The star of the evening was the salsa, served with the chips … complimentary! Awesome salsa… simple, sautéed tomatoes, onion and jalapeño… delicious! Plenty of good seafood places in the SPI area, we likely won’t be back. Cannot recommend…

Food here was incredible. We ordered the fish platter, one with blackened flounder, and the other with blackened flounder and blackened shrimp. Flavor was amazing and price was unbeatable! Highly recommend!

Stop by for a late lunch. Felt great to get out of the heat. The sweet tea really hit the spot. I ordered the special, breaded shrimp with a side of fries and coleslaw. The shrimp were good but what really caught my attention was the cocktail sauce. It was very good. I drenched all of my shrimps in it including the fries. My goal now is to replicate that sauce. The price for the special was just as good. Thanks Tortugos…

the food is great, the wait staff is friendly. it’s does get packed for lunch so unfortunately the wait staff gets real busy and it took them 20 mins to get our check so we went to the counter to pay and still waited fir our waiter to get free to charge our bills. he was apologetic and we understand it gets busy, so this is not a gripe but more of a heads up if you go around lunch don’t plan on a quick in and out but you still be full and satisfied.

Stopped in on a Friday evening on our way to SPI. Had a delicious meal, Ceviche was fresh and served promptly. Also enjoyed a 4 meat plate with fresh coleslaw and hush puppies. All the items were flavorful and enjoyed every bit. Carlos, our server was great help.
Recommend you try it.

Went to this restaurant after seeing positive reviews expecting good fresh seafood. Much to our surprise was greatly disappointed. Had to wait 20 minutes to get seated on hard wood booth. Was served tortilla chips but no salsa. Was served seafood small dish of soup but was broth with nothing in it. Took 30 minutes to receive our 2 meat entrée. The food was cold. The shrimp was awful. I thought it would be shrimp with batter from flour but got shrimp with cornmeal batter Much like the frozen shrimp from grocery stores in a box that you take home and fry. The fish was not any better. Cole slaw was tasteless. The fries like you get from drive thru. No bread or roll. Will never go again. I can’t imagine why people have any positive reviews.

Our waiter Carlos, was amazing! He took his time explaining the menu and recommending the popular items, which we really appreciated. He was patient, kind, and took great care of my family and me. The prices are very reasonable. The fried shrimp was delicious and cheesecakes were amazing too. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning. If you are looking for fresh seafood, this is the spot to visit. Highly recommend!

Had dinner at Los Tortugos in Port Isabel, South Padre, and it was a seafood feast to remember. From mouthwatering platters loaded with fresh catches to a just-caught red snapper grilled like a dream, every bite was pure bliss. The lively vibes made the night even better, highly recommend if you’re ready to treat your taste buds.

Stopped in for fish tacos on a Sunday. The place was crazy busy but we were texted when our table was ready, which was nice. Fish tacos were spectacular! Full of flavor and good portions. Toppings were plentiful and sides (beans / rice) were flavorful. Also got a shrimp and fish ceviche, which was very good. Great acidity and adequate portion sizes, even for sharing. Be aware that the restaurant can be very noisy inside though, but don’t let that deter you from some killer fish tacos!
