Franco’s in Louisville serves amazing soul food! The fried chicken and catfish (cooked to order) were perfectly seasoned, and the sides—candied yams, mac & cheese, dressing with chicken gravy, and cornbread—were all delicious. The pound cake with caramel icing and banana pudding were the perfect sweet finish, and the grape drink hit the spot. Customer service was polite and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Only minor note: the collard greens were a bit salty, but overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Cafeteria style service, fish is cooked by order. The fish and sides were good but, I was disappointed with the desserts, they lacked flavor.

Great little spot for soul food. Only drawback is they have an early close of 7pm, and since it’s cafeteria style serving, most of the popular items run out quick. Pricing is very favorable for what you get. Great for a quick bite that fills you up!

Looking for traditional form home cooking? This is your place! Always clean with fast cafeteria style service. Not always the friendliest but they’re generally very busy. Fried Chicken, freshly fried fish, meat loaf always available. Sides tend to stay the same- green beans, mashed potatos, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheeses, corn bread our roll but hey when it works why change it?! Great desserts too! Safe bet you’ll be pleased! Go and enjoy!

Nice place. The price came out a bit more than I expected. But that’s everywhere now.
The fish was cooked to order so extra hot.
It was good couldn’t eat it all so saved it for later. The rest of it is just what you expect from southern style cooking. Yum.

I got the smothered pork chop sweet potatoes and buttered spinach. The results are plate is empty. If I could have licked the plate i would have but im in a public place. Closest thing to grammas home cooking.

We was referred to this place by a friend, we went and I got baked chicken, greens, and macaroni and cheese!!! The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was out of a can… It was definitely not homemade, the greens had a very strong taste, not appealing at all, and the chicken was decent but the chicken gravy they used was like a can of cream of chicken soup, definitely not gravy at all!!!! My boyfriend got the smothered pork chops, greens, and yams…. The only thing good on his plate was the yams!!! He said the pork chops we’re very tough!!!!

This eater has a history in Louisville, however, it was the first time I have ever been here. I was not disappointed. Every thing our group ordered was thoroughly enjoyed. I will be adding this location to my great places to eat list.

I’ve tried numerous things from this restaurant, and everything is just nasty, and I mean this in the most respectful way possible. The greens always taste burnt and under seasoned, the fried potatoes are always cold, the green beans are nasty, the smothered pork chops taste like flavor and old meat… the baked spaghetti is flavorless. The only two things worth eating are the sweet potatoes and cabbage
