Stopped in to pick up some pies .. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the front door. So we decided to stay and eat breakfast.. The waitress it was very nice and attentive.. My sister had the breakfast skillet .. She said everything tasted good especially the pancakes .. My french toast was good even without syrup .. My eggs potatoes and sausage we’re hot and good.. I Definitely will try this place again Ps dont forget to get a Pie ..

Hostess was super friendly, the wait staff was attentive. Service was quick. The chicken melt was OK, seemed unseasoned. The fajita melt was delicious. The coleslaw was bland. Seats near the window are drafty, beware. Other than that, clean and pleasant atmosphere.

The only thing good about my dining experience was the waitress understanding of my complaint. Jamie L was kind but the food was terrible. Asked for chocolate chip pancakes and the cook makes two cakes plain and in the middle of the two cakes was a pile of unmelted chips in a heap pile looking like a pile of poop and I’m not exaggerating. Thought the chips were to be in the batter, I may be wrong but presentation is key to success. Asked for bacon and sausage well done, bacon was floppy and the sausage was PINK. Who eats pork pink? I haven’t been to bakers square since it shut its doors in Matteson,Illinois. We are talking late 90s I was a kid. I’m 43 now and just happen to be shopping in Schereville, IN which is 2 hours from where I live and seeing a Bakers Square still open just made my heart flutter! Oh the memories of PIE!! But I guess stuff and life is just not as it was. The waitress fixed our bill and again was kind as hell. But I will not be returning. Nor buying a whole pie as intended. Heck we were leaving and a guy came in for a his take out and they gave him a free slice of pie for his inconvenience today, so I’m clearly not being an jerk, this restaurant just lacks organization or desire to be a great restaurant.

Hello my peeps Twin is back but not good, let’s just say for this location and buying pickup order pies was the worst in my 40 years of buy banana cream pies.
Let’s make this short NEVER SELL a dried up crunchy banana cream pie to anybody let along to a die hard baker square customer for 40 years, the bananas was crunchy and the pudding was dried out….END OF STORY.
So I was light on this review because the 40year loyal customer i am and this only happen once…..and I was picking this pie up in INDIANA so drive bake there was NO. ♂️

My jaw hit the floor and I almost did a backflip walking into Bakers square a couple days before New Year’s Eve here in Schererville 2025 as I received a belated Christmas gift. I stopped in to get a simple pumpkin pie I needed in a emergency last minute for a party as I do not come here for pies anymore like I used to before covid and I happened to be driving by. After covid, my number one go to for the holidays Bakers Square pie, Carmel Pecan silk Supreme, the absolute best pie in the world, quit being made in all Chicagoland Bakers Squares. I even talked to the manager here a few years ago, he said they will not be bringing it back as the supply bakeries for Bakers square dropped it from the lineup because of covid. I became so desperate, I actually found that Village Inn, which is Bakers Square sister chain restaurants, in Davenport Iowa, were still offering the Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme post covid and was the closest who had them, where as Chicago Bakers and Village Inn were not. I literally drove over 3 hours straight across Illinois to get my pies from there at Village Inn the last two years in a row, to just taste that wonderful pie again. I ended up buying 3 each time so I can try freezing them which did not work out too well so I had to eat every luscious bite of them with my relatives for the holidays, (One for them two for me) he he. Lo and behold, I walk into Bakers Square this year as I stated earlier, and there sitting in the pie display case in Schererville, beckoning me, I saw an actual Carmel pecan Silk Supreme pie. I could not believe it, it was BACK!!! I quickly checked the pie offering chart. OMG it was LISTED!! I kindly asked the gentleman at the purchase counter for one. He turned around and said they were out!! I clearly saw the pie fridge behind him had an empty shelf for all the Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme spot. My elation turned to despair, when a heavenly angel of a female voice shouted to him “There’s some more in back!” He said “One Minute” he went to the back and then came back to the counter with a box in hand. Could it be? Could it really be he has a Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme for me? …… why yes he did. As he handed it to me, I swear I heard the music from Harry Potter (HP) as Olivander gave Harry his correct wand, and lights from no where lit up my Bakers Square pie box. I was so elated, I tipped him and brought to my people a Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme instead of pumpkin. Thank you Thank You Bakers Square, for bringing back my “precious” (LOTR) Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme. You made my New Year for 2026 so I must return. soon

I would like to leave a review for Kaitlyn. I swung by to pick up some pies and the experience I had at this location was unparalleled . She greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and I could tell immediately she loved her job. She took the time to go through the pie selections with me and then pick out the perfect one. I appreciate her customer service and her attitude. If I am in the area again, I would hands-down go back. highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking.

Group of 6 for lunch. Food was plentiful on the plate and plated well. Fries were warm and fresh, the burger was cooked well and served plentiful toppings. Service was great inspite of her section being full, ask for Lynette she is great.

This isn’t the Bakers Square quality of food I remember. I ordered the Crush Burger I was surprised to see 2 hamburger patties because in the past I thought it had only one. The Burger was so greasy . The fries were flavorless even though the menu stated that they were seasoned.

Honey chicken was two dry breast with honey mustard squirtted on it from the store, a tablespoon of rice and half burnt broccoli a small slice of cornbread. Debbie the supervisor said that this always it was , no it was not, then she, well we changed the sauce. IT’S STORE BROUGHT!!!!!!

There is only one thing that I didn’t like about this store “I had to go home” because; they are not a 24 hour store. Great everything, I can’t complain. The sweets will make you return with the quickness. Keep up the great customer service, work and years of dedication to the communities m. You guys matter to me. I wish there were a lot more stores around the world as I travel.
