First time eating here when we were passing through Castle Rock, and we will definitely be back! Service was excellent, Brendan was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. He is really a terrific server! The smoked wings were the best o ever had! The honey garlic is the bomb!!!! I suggested that they should bottle it and sell it! Loved the house chips too. My husband had a seasonal beer called Whiskey BA Moroccan, he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. Thanks for the excellent service and food!

We were here tonight for the first time… stopped in for a geocaching event. We live here but haven’t been in to WBY yet. Bot were we impressed! The food was amazing, the staff was super awesome, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Hubs and I shared a Black Dahlia burger and fries and cheese curds. Holy moly was it delish! We look forward to coming back with friends.

I was excited to try this place based on strong Reddit reviews, which usually steer me right. Unfortunately, all but the truffle fries were a let down. The flatbread felt/tasted like cafeteria food, and the mac and cheese included meat that tasted like canned beef jerky from childhood. I paid over $40 for the two meals and was very disappointed with the quality.

The ciders were good. We didn’t try the beer, so I can’t comment on that.

On the positive side, the service was solid, and the atmosphere was what you’d expect from a typical brewery.

In town visiting relatives for the stock show. Uncle used to work here and he wanted to show the place off, so we stopped in for beers.

Good location, beautiful space, many seating options, super helpful and friendly staff! Good selection of tasty beers!

I come over to WBY everytime my wife needs her hair done and it’s just excellent. Super tasty food and a great selection of beers. Surprisingly good cocktails for a brewery too!

One of our favorite places. Wild Blue Yonder continues to make a great name for itself based on its award-winning beers, and I’ll bet you will love the food as much as we do. If you live in the Denver metro or Colorado Springs metro areas, WBY is worth the drive. We took a nice Sunday drive over there recently and watched NFL while we ate. (So the noise level was as you would expect at a brewpub showing games. Not bad though.) We’ve eaten both lunch and dinner several times by now. My wife had the Rachel sandwich, and I had the Black Dahlia burger with a bowl of chili on the side. Everything was excellent. The chili is medium spicy, in the style of a chunky stew. Their beer is exceptionally good across the board, something for everyone! We like the patio, which is pet friendly.

The food, beer and service at Wild Blue Yonder is always amazing!
They have a cute inside area, and a huge, relaxing patio area that wraps around the building. Sitting outside and enjoying the evening foot traffic downtown is a lovely vibe.
The cheese curds are wonderful. The sandwiches and burgers are unique and always sooo good. However, beer is what we come for and they never disappoint.
The servers and bar tenders are always courteous and professional.
I really can’t say enough good things. I live in Castle Rock, so we visit at least a couple of times a month.

I am looking to relocate to Castle Rock soon and was strolling the Downtown area when I seen an event with the VFW at the Wild Blue yonder. Being a VET myself, I decided to give the restaurant a go and was not disappointed. I ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Sweet Potato fries and the Battle Brew Beer created for the VFW. The sandwich was awesome and the fries were very tasty. However, I wish the fries were a bit warmer. The beer was very refreshing on the warm Saturday day. I did not get the server’s name, but she was amazing and ensured I had all I needed while at the restaurant. The front patio is a great location to eat in the open air with the perfect view of Castle Rock. I look forward to coming back to the place again and again with friends.

Wild Blue Yonder Brewing Company in Castle Rock is a veteran-owned brewery with a welcoming, upbeat vibe that makes you feel right at home. Tucked into a beautifully restored old carriage house, the space blends chic contemporary styling with cozy warmth—favorite for locals and visitors alike. From my visit, I loved their large indoor bar and bright beer garden out back, where string lights and patio seating give it a laid-back, friendly feel .

What really stands out is the beer. They’ve got 16 taps pouring everything from crisp German-style lagers to rich coconut oatmeal stouts. I sampled a flight and was especially impressed with the “Las Cruces Lager” and a smooth “Coconut Oatmeal Cream Stout” that was silky and flavorful. The stout even earned a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival—background that shows in the quality of each pour .

The food menu hits all the right notes for a brewpub. We shared the decadent truffle fries and Wisconsin cheddar curds—so good—and each sandwich and burger (the Black Dahlia Burger is a standout) arrived hot and satisfying. A Yelp reviewer summed it up nicely: “The food was great. Truffle fries were delicious! The beer was also excellent. The service was also top notch. We’ll be back!” .

Service during my visit was prompt, friendly, and attentive—our server clearly knew the beers and made fun, helpful recommendations. The place was buzzing but still unhurried. On a weekend afternoon, I joined a VFW tapping event on the south patio, with live spirit and a strong community atmosphere .

Key details to know:

Atmosphere: Stylish, veteran‑owned space with spacious indoor bar and large, inviting beer garden .

Beer: 16 rotating taps, award-winning lagers and stouts, plus seasonal sours and pilsners .

Food: Creative pub favorites (truffle fries, cheese curds, house‑made burgers/wraps); generous portions and solid flavor .

Service: Friendly, knowledgeable staff even during crowded shifts .

Petite outdoorsy charm: Outdoor events and roomy patio—feel-good spot for families, gatherings, casual nights.

In summary: Wild Blue Yonder Brewing Co. delivers a polished but inviting brewpub experience—excellent craft beer, delicious pub food, a spacious beer garden, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Castle Rock, add it to your must‑visit list!

The menu items have fun names! I enjoyed my beers and the cheese curds. The chicken sandwich was a generous amount( ❤️) the only thing that would have made it more awesome might have been if the chicken had a bit of sauce to flavor it. The atmosphere is great and there’s a cute outdoor area in the back and a front patio.
